Rookie singer Ailee has been receiving much attention after debuting with her new song “Heaven“, earning a positive response from fans and industry insiders alike for her explosive vocal talent.

Ailee had an opportunity to showcase her S-line figure this summer season, but it was belatedly revealed that she had turned down the offer.

Though she rose to fame for her amazing musical talent, male fans have also taken note of her glamorous figure. Different from most girl group members that continue to maintain their slim figures with rigorous diet and exercise, Ailee falls within the ‘bagel girl’ category with other idols that possess healthy figures such as SECRET‘s Hyosung.

A waterpark who recognized her shapely figure had sent a love call to Ailee early in her career, trying to recruit her as their spokesmodel before she made her debut with “Heaven”. However, Ailee’s representatives respectfully turned down their offer.

“It was a little burdensome thinking about [Ailee] taking on a role of a waterpark model, having to expose herself when she is still a rookie trying to find her niche in the industry,” they explained.

She might have turned down the offer to be a waterpark model, but Ailee is slowly but surely building her singing career. The singer rightfully claimed her victory on the ‘J.Y. Park special’ of ‘Immortal Song 2‘ by singing his hit track, “Don’t Leave Me“.

Ailee is currently preparing her new album, and is planning to make a comeback towards the end of this month or in early June.

Ailee‘s active past in America is belatedly receiving recognition.

According to management company, YMC Entertainment, Ailee had previously appeared on NBC‘s popular talk show, ‘Maury Show‘ back in 2008 and placed 2nd in a talent singing competition.

The ‘Maury Show’ held a special where they displayed a variety of talents as contestants, who would then be voted as the fan favorite through an online poll.

Ailee was 18 when she first appeared on the show as she showcased her strong vocals by singingRihanna‘s ‘Unfaithful‘.

Ailee is currently on leave from Pace University in New York to promote her first single, “Heaven“, and is also acting in KBS‘s ‘Dream High 2‘.

Former YouTube star Ailee has finally released the full music video for her debut song, “Heaven“!

Ailee attracted much interest after she blew the audience away with her rendition of “Halo” by Beyonceon MBC‘s Chuseok special, ‘Singers and Trainees‘. She is currently starring in the KBS 2TV drama, ‘Dream High 2‘, and will now kick off her debut promotions on major music programs.

Armed with powerful vocals and a strong stage presence, Ailee is destined to stand out and become one of K-Pop’s top rookies of 2012.
