14 September:

Handsome actors Donghae of Super Junior and Choi Jin Hyuk were able to treat their ‘Miss Panda and the Porcupine‘ staff members to a hearty lunch.

Donghae’s fans have consistently prepared a food truck for the staff members since early this summer, while Choi Jin Hyuk’s fans thoughtfully prepared 100 servings of Samgyetang, a traditional Korean dish eaten during the warm season, as well as a coffee truck.

Despite filming at a deserted area in the scorching heat, the cast and staff members were able to eat well thanks to the supportive fans and continue the shoot with newfound energy.

“The staff members are able to maintain smiles on their faces, thanks to the fans’ kind acts,” one representative remarked. “We are working hard, so we hope you will look forward [to the drama].”

Meanwhile, Super Junior’s K.R.Y has stepped up to also show their support for Donghae, singing “Loving You” to earn an explosive response from the public.

The 9th episode of the drama airs September 15th at 7:30PM KST!

22 August:

On August 20th, the first OST track for Channel A’s weekend mini-series “Miss Panda and Mr. Hedgehog” was released. The track, “Plz (Please) Don’t,” features the vocals of Super Junior’s Donghae, who is also playing one the lead characters in the drama as well.

Emerging composers, Shin Jaehoo and Im Yoosup (for RLaska), were responsible for the creation of the track.

“Plz Don’t” begins with a beautiful piano arrangement before it suddenly turns into an upbeat track. Donghae’s begins to sing, saying “Please don’t say goodbye.” The track has a simple, yet addictive melody with Donghae in charge of both the vocal and rap.

The drama began airing on August 18th on Channel A.

On August 16^th, at the Seoul Imperial Palace Hotel, Channel A weekend mini series ”Miss Panda and Hedgehog” held a press conference.

On this day, in response to a question about a heavy kiss scene, Super Junior Dong Hae said, “Excepting with a girlfriend, the kiss scene was my first.  I didn’t really do much different preparation, I just did it in a beautiful way.”

The not just domestically but internationally loved Super Junior Dong Hae and rising star romantic comedy queen Yoon Seung Ah have been cast in the lead roles of Channel A’s new romantic comedy melodrama.  In “Miss Panda and Hedgehog,” Dong Hae plays the hedgehog-like character Go Seung Ji and Yoon Seung Ah plays the panda-like Pan Da Yang.  The hedgehog-like Go Seung Ji lived with his prickles pointed outwards as a worn out young man.  One day, Go Seung Ji meets a blunt, carefree, panda-like Pan Da Yang and the two begin a tit-for-tat bickering which turns into a sweet-as-cake love.

“Miss Panda and Hedgehog” also boasts an impressive cast of veterans and fresh faces including Choi Jin Hyeok, Yoo So Yeong, Park Geun Hyung, Lee Moon Hee, Yang Hee Kyung, and Hyun Suk.

“Miss Panda and Hedgehog” will premiere this Saturday, August 18 at 7:30 p.m. (KST) on Channel A.

On June 18th, a press conference for Channel A’s new drama “Ms. Panda and Mr. Hedgehog” took place at the drama’s filming location. Starring Super Junior’s Donghae and actress Yoon Seungah, “Ms. Panda and Mr. Hedgehog” will be about a romantic relationship that develops between two people with very different personalities.

Most of the drama’s cast was present at the press conference, and many questions were asked regarding each person’s experience with filming the drama. Donghae was first asked to share his thoughts on his character. He said, “Although my character Ko Seungji may seem cold on the outside, he really has a warm heart. In fact, he may actually be the most loving character in the drama.”

Donghae was also asked to share his impression of fellow co-star Yoon Seungah. He commented, “When I first saw Yoon Seungah, I thought she was really beautiful. Not only that, but she is also almost like an older sister to me, always caring for me and giving me advice on how to improve my acting. It’s also because of her that I’ve become a more relaxed and humorous person on set.”

When asked how he manages to simultaneously take part in Super Junior comeback activities and drama filming, Donghae replied, “Well, I’m actually not the only one who has a hectic schedule. Many other actors are just as busy as I am. But recently, I’ve only been able to get two to three hours of sleep each night due to filming. Although there are times when I feel as if I don’t have the strength to continue on with my work, I still always feel happy when I am filming.”

In addition, the cast members and production team were asked to select which actor livens up the filming atmosphere. Everyone pointed to Donghae, and Donghae explained, “There are times when I purposely do an NG just to make everyone laugh and cheer up,” revealing his secret method of cheering everyone up.

So Young’s been cast in a drama with Donghae, Yoon Seungah & Choi Jin Hyuk entitled “Miss Panda & Hedgehog“.

“Miss Panda & Hedgehog” is a romantic comedy drama about a young man with a temper like a porcupine on its guard meeting a chilled and relaxed girl like a panda and creating a kind of sweet love.

Lee Dong-hae transforms his hair spiky like a porcupine and talks with an edge to it. Yoon Seung-ah is expected to be cute and bubbly.

The productions revealed, “‘Panda and Hedgehog’ is sweet like cake, cute and lovely like a panda and spiky like pins“.

This drama will air this summer on Channel A.

Super Junior’s Donghae and actress Yong Seungah are confirmed to be playing the lead roles in Channel A’s upcoming romantic comedy titled “Ms. Panda and Mr. Hedgehog.”

Donghae is set to play the role of “Mr. Hedgehog” who is described to have a stoic personality and unique hairstyle. Yoon Seungah, on the other hand, is described to have a calming personality. The two characters will quarrel a lot before developing a romantic relationship.

Channel A further revealed that the project might possibly start airing this summer.
