Eric

5 January:

Ahead of their official comeback, Shinhwa leader Eric will be heading over to Shanghai on the 6th to steal the hearts of their fans in China.
Eric has a fan meet-and-greet scheduled for the 7th at Shanghai’s City Theater. This is the first time he will be visiting his Chinese fans after being discharged from the military.
One of Eric’s representatives informed OSEN on the 4th, “He will be heading over to China on the 6th to hold his fan meet-and-greet, and will most likely return on the 8th. He will once again focus on preparing for Shinhwa’s comeback upon returning to Korea.”
Shinhwa has always had a strong fan base in Korea, and Eric’s visit is expected the further heighten the fans’ anticipation for their comeback.
Shinhwa now has their own company, ShinHwa Company, and their full-length 10th album is scheduled to be released on their 14th anniversary, March 24, 2012. This is the first album to be released after all the members fulfilled their military obligations, and therefore the fans are all-the-more eager for the album to drop. The boys are also planning an Asia Tour to visit with their fans in the near future.
In related news, the singer was cast in the hit series KBS ‘Spy Myungwol‘, and is the leader of his group as well as the head of ShinHwa Company.

3 October:

On October 4th, representatives of Shinhwa‘s Eric revealed that he will be taking a break with his family in New York at the end of this month.
After completing his KBS mini-series, ‘Spy Myung Wol‘, on September 6th, Eric has been on break in Seoul.  The drama itself was highly stressful to complete despite it being his comeback project following his discharge because of several issues regarding Han Ye Seul‘s refusal to film.
According to officials, the amount of passion Eric had for the drama was reflected in the energy he drained for it.  Thus, he’s decided to stay with his family and recuperate under their care.
Representatives stated, “After resting with his family in the States, Eric will be returning by the year’s end.  After his return, he’ll be working on his music production and planning his next project.”

20 September:

We’re sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but we’ve got an unfortunate announcement for all the Shinhwa fans out there.
On September 19th, Shinhwa’s Eric stunned fans by shutting down his Twitter account. To explain his reasons, he’s left the following message:
I’ve decided to close down my Twitter account. It’s a shame because I had so much fun interacting with my followers and thus, made new friends in the process. In fact, I’ve been communicating with my fans more than I have with my fellow Shinhwa members. This news could be pleasing to some, but I know that some will find this unfortunate. I deeply apologize to those who will miss our experience.
Just like how I’ve closed down ‘Good Diaries’, I’m shutting down Twitter as well due to negative feedback and concerns. I am going to miss this site very much, as it was the only gateway for me to communicate with my fans.  I shortly forgot that I’m suppose to be a good role model to my followers, but the joy of communicating with others like a normal person led me to forget that role. Anyway, it’s been a joy sharing my troubles and good news with my followers… just like friends.
Just like how I came back after quitting Good Diaries, I hope I can return to my fans again in the future with a different source~ Sulhwa, Mira, SeYung, Hwi Jin, Min Kyung, Oboe, Hana, Miso Gongju(smiling princess), Seung Hye, and to the rest of my followers….I had so much fun, take care! ^_^.  Good Bye.
We’re sure Eric misses his fans already, and we know we’re already missing the 4D-ness of his hilarious selcas. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for a Twitter comeback in the near future!

I gratefully think of the time (during Shinhwa’s debut days) when you guys once pulled our members to the bathroom and hit us because we did not greet you.”
He added, “At that time, we did not go back to rooms and curse you guys. We really regretted our actions, and for the next few years we made sure that our junior singers did not do the same things that we did. However, after a while, it got annoying and we ended up ignoring the junior singers’ bad actions.”
Finally, Eric added, “It was really great luck for us that we got to meet you guys. For all the junior singers out there, it will be best if you guys be prepared and respectful when 2012 comes.”
After seeing this, DJ DOC member Kim Chang Ryul responded, “I really like Shinhwa. Really. Through text, you threatened me to follow you (on Twitter). I really miss you.”
