Back in February, KARA held their first solo concert ‘KARASIA‘ at Seoul Olympic Park. Unfortunately, it turned out that Nicole suffered from a severe sprained ankle towards the end of her solo performance.
Despite her injury, Nicole continued to perform throughout the rest of the concert, and also recently attended the 14th annual ‘2012 SPRING/SUMMER Tokyo Girls’ Collection‘ on March 3rd at the Yokohama Arena in Yokohama, Japan.
Fans wished her a speedy recovery and commented, “How was she able to continue her activities in that condition?“, “Hope she gets better soon“, “How heartbreaking. It seems like her injury was much worse than thought“, and “How nice of maknae Jiyoung.”
Meanwhile, KARA will officially begin promoting their 6th Japanese single ‘Speed Up‘ and ‘Girl’s Power‘ starting this month.

20 Feb:
KARA‘s Nicole who badly injured her ankle at KARA’s first independent concert, KARASIA stepped on stage the following day with her foot wrapped in a cast.
Nicole had a solo performance at KARA’s independent concert which took place at Olympic Park on February 18th, and injured her foot while exiting the stage. No one was sure whether she would be able to continue with the following performances, but Nicole endured the pain and stood on stage the next day.
KARA’s agency DSP Media stated, “Even after she hurt her foot the first day, Nicole finished the entire performance despite her injury. When it was over, we called in an acupuncturist and took emergency measures. We were told that she would have to wear a half-cast and that she would not be able to partake in the performances to follow.”
“Despite her circumstance, Nicole was determined not to give up, as she did not want to miss KARA’s first ever independent concert,” they continued.
Her determination showed, as Nicole well performed “Beat It“, a song that requires intense choreography.

KARA‘s Nicole whose birthday is October 7th, 1991 has just turned 20 (21 in Korea)!
The girls were a bit quiet this year on twitter but last year they were quite celebratory on her birthday.
Leader Park Gyuri tweeted, “You guys know it’s Nicole’s birthday today, right? Let’s wish her a happy birthday!”
Goo Hara also wrote, “It’s the lovely cutie Nicole’s birthday~ everyone please wish her a happy birthday ^.^! Happy Birthday~ Nicole~!”

On June 25th, Nicole posted the picture through her Twitter, tweeting, “Hara, who sleeps anywhere.”She added, “I’m totally crushed underneath. Still…”
In the picture, Hara looks like she is sleeping while using Nicole as her bed. There’s a big contrast between Hara, who has a calm expression on her face while lying down comfortably with her legs stretched out, and Nicole, who is completely flattened underneath.

Nicole tweeted, “These are pictures from ‘Dream.’ Jiyoung and I played around by taking sel-cas in the waiting room. The one with the four of us was taken right before the ending. Hara was working hard as the MC at the time. Pretty, right?”
Goo Hara was MCing alongside Super Junior’s Heechul and Song Joong Ki so she isn’t present in the pictures. Still, netizens were overjoyed to see such adorable photos from the girls, who are looking as stunning as ever in their stage outfits.

KARA member Nicole has recently fanned down the rumor about the members’ poor relationship in light of the much publicized ‘KARA incident.‘
On the 21st, Nicole tweeted, “규리언니 여신님의 생일 많이 축하해주세요!^^ 언니 생일축하해이이잉 / Please wish a happy birthday to our goddess Gyuri! ^^ Happy Birthday.”
The message showed Nicole’s love and care for fellow member Gyuri.
Netizens who read the message are commenting, “What a beautiful friendship,” “Nicole’s adorable promotion for goddess’s birthday,” “It’s so nice to see them getting along well.”
Netizens also stated, “this turned down the rumor about members’ relationship after the KARA incident. We hope their friendship lasts.”
KARA has ended their dispute with their management company, DSP Media and is currently involved in various promotions.

Wearing black from head to toe, Nicole posed before reporters at the event’s photo wall. It was later revealed that DSP Media had no knowledge of Nicole making this appearance on her own. Nicole reportedly received an invitation from the event’s host and went ahead with her appearance on her own.
As previously reported, the three members of KARA and DSP Media are currently in discussion for a compromise to their legal dispute.
