Shin Hye Sung

25 Mar:

It has been reported that Shinhwa‘s Shin Hye Sung suffered a dislocated knee during Shinhwa’s comeback concert.
Shinhwa’s 14th anniversary concert, ‘2012 Shinhwa Grand Tour in Seoul: ‘The Return, took place on March 25th at Seoul Olympic Park with over 8,000 fans in attendance.
While the group was performing their encore song “Yo!” during the later half of their concert, Shin Hye Sung injured his knee after he fell during a jump performance using a lift. Shin Hye Sung was immediately rushed to the hospital.
Due to the sudden accident, the concert had to come to an end and their 14th anniversary ending ceremony had to be omitted.
Fortunately, Shinhwa Company updated fans on Twitter and assured fans that Hye Sung was indeed okay. They wrote, “We received a message from Hye Sung. Thank you all for your concerns. It’s a relief!” and uploaded a screenshot of the text message sent by Hye Sung.
His message read, “Everyone has worked hard! I’m disappointed and am sorry that we couldn’t have a better ending… Since you all worked hard, I hope you all have an enjoyable dinner! Have my share of meat and alcohol!

We reported earlier that Shinhwa‘s vocalist, Shin Hye Sung, would be releasing a special albumcalled ‘Embrace‘, a collaboration project between indie and mainstream artists.
The singer had hinted during his encore concert in September that ‘Embrace’ would step away from his trademark ballad style. The special album carries more of a modern-rock flavor instead, a genre that Hye Sung hasn’t delved into since his Shinhwa days.
Im Hun Il (of rock band Mate) directed the entire album’s composition and brought together Walrusmember and the indie scene’s greatest bassist, Yang Shi On, as well as pianist Kim Jung Ahof Dear Cloud, and singer-songwriter Park Asel.

Singer Shin Hye Sung will be releasing a new special album titled “embrace” on December 27th, which has been attracting attention as a collaboration project between indie and mainstream artists.

The singer previously hinted at this album during his encore concert in September when he revealed that “embrace” would step away from his ballad style and into more of the modern rock genre.
Rock band Mate’Im Hun Il directed the entire album’s composition and brought together Walrusmember and the indie scene’s greatest bassist, Yang Shi On, as well as pianist Kim Jung Ah ofDear Cloud, and singer-songwriter Park Asel.
As Im Hun Il will be enlisting in the army at the end of the year, he’s revealed that he’s poured his heart and soul into this album as his last project, showing off his deep friendship with the singer.
He stated, “The interest I had in idol turned senior musician Shin Hye Sung and his new style of music served as a refreshment for me before I begin my service in the army. Working with passionate people made producing the album a lot of fun. ‘embrace’ is special in and of itself, so please give it much love.”
“embrace” will be released on December 27th. Meanwhile, Shin hye Sung is preparing for a year-end concert that will contain songs from his upcoming release.

Shinhwa‘s Shin Hyesung will be holding a solo concert at Yonsei University on December 30th and 31st, to spend the last moments of the year with his beloved fans..
I’ve done a lot of shows and concerts in the past, but I’m especially nervous and excited for this one as I will be spending the last moments of 2011, and greet the dawn of 2012 with my fans,” he said.
Hyesung continued, “I will do my best to prepare for the event, as it is a really meaningful show. I hope that a lot of people will come to have a good time.
The singer, who’s successfully completed a concert in Japan, has a few more shows lined up in Hong Kong.

Shinhwa‘s Shin Hyesung finally released his first Japanese single, “I Believe“, on October 5th!
“I Believe” is a duet song that guest-features vocals from Japan’s Kiyokiba Shunsuke, a former member of pop group, EXILE. Shunsuke also helped pen the lyrics to the song.
The single, which includes the songs “I Believe” and “Forever“.
Shin Hyesung held a handshake event in different cities across Japan to celebrate his first single release. The handshake event is still on-going, but the singer hopes to promote his new single through radio appearances and interviews as well. To top it all off, Shin Hyesung will also hold a solo concert on October 16th at Tokyo Dome City Hall.

Shinhwa member, Shin Hye Sung, has scheduled an encore concert titled, ‘THE ROAD NOT TAKEN ACT II‘.
His label, Liveworks agency, reported, “As a way of thanking his fans for their fervent support, Shin Hye Sung has decided to go ahead and schedule an encore performance after his first concert was completely sold-out for all three days.” They revealed that the encore concert will be “a bit more colorful, and includes several special stage performances for his fans.”
Thank you to all of my many fans who came out to see me for the first concert. I’m glad we have been able to prepare a second performance so that I could give back to all of you. I work harder each day in response to the consistent love and support I received, and for this event in particular, I have prepared well in order to put on the best show I can. I hope you look forward to it.”
The concert will take place at KyungHee University for two nights on September 3rd and 4th.

After releasing his fourth solo album, “The Road Not Taken“, on June 15th, it was announced thatShinhwa’Shin Hye Sung will be returning to Busan for his first concert in the city in two years.
According to the World Show Market event organizers on July 11th, Shin Hye Sung will be holding his Busan concert in July at the KBS Hall; the same venue where he held his solo concert back in 2009.
The singer successfully concluded his sold-out Seoul concerts from June 24th to 26th, where fans of various nationalities arrived with rice and orange wreaths (Shinhwa’s official color) in support.
In other news, Shin Hye Sung also recently completed a fan meeting in Tokyo to celebrate the 3rd year anniversary of his Japanese fanclub, “Always HYESUNG“.

On June 15th, Shinhwa’Shin Hye Sung released his fourth solo album, “The Road Not Taken“, in conjunction with the music video for his title track, “Tick Tock“.
As previously reported, fellow Shinhwa member Kim Dong Wan acted in the music video to show his support. Shin Hye Sung has been on a roll even before his official comeback, as the album was reported to have ranked #1 in pre-order sales.
The album itself is comprised of 10 tracks. His title track was co-produced with hit composer An Young Min, and its music video is currently being promoted on the streets of Namdaemun, as well as in subway platforms, movie theaters, Coex Mall, E-Mart, and other large-scale franchises.
Shin Hye Sung will also be holding a three-day concert, “Shin Hye Sung 2011 Tour in Seoul – The Road Not Taken”, starting June 23rd.

The strong bond between the Shinhwa members is no surprise to K-Pop fans, as they’ve managed to stay together for 13 long years. In support of Shin Hye Sung’s comeback this month, fellow member Kim Dong Wan has set out to star in his music video!

Kim Dong Wan is currently busy with his musical, “Hedwig“, as well as other broadcast programs, but that didn’t stop him from taking time off to accept Shin Hye Sung’s casting request.
The music video for Shin Hye Sung’s title track, “Tick Tock“, will feature a story about the fate between a man and a woman. Filming took place on June 6th, and Kim Dong Wan’s female partner was reported to be actress Han Ji Eun.
The teaser for the music video will be released through his official homepage on June 13th. 
The full album, “The Road Not Taken“, will be released on the 16th, followed by a two-day concert on the 24th and 26th.

After waiting nearly two years and four months, fans finally got the news that Shinhwa’s Shin Hye Sung will drop his fourth official album, “The Road Not Taken“.
Scheduled for a June 16th release, the album will contain his title track, “Tick Tock“, as well as special tracks featuring the Brown Eyed Soul’s Young Jun and fellow Shinhwa member EricMATE’s Im Hun Il also joined the album for the song “Think About It“, rounding out the total number of tracks to 10.
The album represents Shin Hye Sung’s desire to expand as a musician; he firmly expressed that this new release was an official album (not a single or a mini-album), and that he’s got a coinciding concert planned as well. Shin Hye Sung’s also stepped up his game by co-producing his title track with composer An Young Min, who’s known for Shinhwa’s past hits like “Brand New” and “Angel“.
The star will be performing his new songs for the very first time at his three-day solo concert, which begins on June 24th.

On May 12th, Shinhwa’s Shin Hye Sung released his collaboration single with the Brown Eyed Soul’s Young Jun, “A Bit Closer.
The soul ballad was written, composed, and arranged by Young Jung’s production team, “JAY&JUN“, and noted for its combination of the piano and guitar to bring out the contrasting vocals of the two.
This single is just a glimpse of what’s to come, as Shin Hye Sung also has his fourth official album, “The Road Not Taken“, underway. The album’s scheduled to drop next month alongside a three-day concert.
Hye Sung stated, “I’m thankful that Young Jun-ssi agreed to collaborate with me despite his busy schedule. I’ve always wanted to thank my fans for waiting for so long as well. Please give ‘A Bit Closer’ your love, and I hope that my upcoming album will be an opportunity to become closer with my fans.”

Shin Hye Sung has announced that he will be making a comeback next month with his fourth official album, “The Road Not Taken“.

The Shinhwa member made his last release, “Side 2 Keep Leaves“, back in 2009, as an additional digital single, but has since kept his promotions to a minimum. Now that he’s returning after a two year hiatus, fans are gearing up for not only his comeback, but Shinhwa’s impending comeback as well.
The singer will be releasing one song off of his fourth album ahead of the official release on May 12th. ”A Bit Closer” is said to be a duet track with the Brown Eyed Soul’s Young Jun.
Representatives stated, “He’ll be holding a three-day concert with his comeback. Tickets will go on sale on the 19th through Interpark.”
