Avex Network has recently announced that pop duo Tohoshinki (TVXQ) will be releasing a new single on Wednesday, July 20, 2011!
This will be Tohoshinki’s second official single this year following, “Why? (Keep Your Head Down)”which was released on January 26th and sold over 300,000 copies. Details pertaining to the the title and the tracks have not been released yet (To be determined) but it is known that their new single will be released in two different types of a Limited Edition & Regular Edition. For both edition’s First Press releases, one random Jacket size card from six different types will be included as a bundle. More details on the title and track list will be released at a later date.

Popular Korean group Tohoshinki (TVXQ)will be performing at Avex’s annual outdoor summer concert event, a-nation, for the first time in 2 years!The news was revealed at the press conference for “Seven & i Holdings x Tohoshinki Summer Campaign” held on May 12th, where the duo promoted Sogo & Seibu department store chain’s new silver point card.
Free public viewing of a-nation 2011 will be available in the Tohoku region, where the 2011 Tohoku earthquake struck. Member Changmin commented, “I want to show a passionate stage. I want to tell (the victims), I know (you) are going through a hard time, but let’s work hard together and overcome it quickly.”
At the press event, Tohoshinki also talked about their upcoming CM for the Sogo & Seibu point card, which will start airing on May 13th. Leader Yunho commented, “It’s been a while since I filmed together with Japanese staff so I was nervous, but the feeling came back right away.”

28 April:TVXQ has been crowned as the artists with the most album sales for the first quarter of 2011!
On April 28th, Gaon Chart released the album sales figuresfrom January through March of 2011. Results showed that TVXQ placed first with over 200,000 in total sales. Gaon’s representatives stated, “The first quarter of 2011 met with the album releases of TVXQ and Big Bang, both of whom have been away from the industry for a long time.”

29 Maret:On March 29th, TVXQ released their third installment of their “Before U Go” music video series through their official YouTube channel!Directed by Hong Won Ki (SHINee’s “Hello“, Super Junior-M’s “Too Perfect“), the music video features a sexy and modern performance put on by Yunho and Changmin.
Unlike the previous two dramatized releases, which focused mainly on the story line and movie-like action scenes, this version aims instead to tell a story with meaningful choreography and dance scenes through a performance style described as ‘lyrical hip hop.’

18 Maret: SM Entertainment has decided to modify the lyrics to TVXQ’s newest song, “Before U Go” in order to pass the rigid broadcast standards upheld by MBC. The song is the title track for TVXQ’s repackaged “Keep Your Head Down” album.
It’s only been a couple of days since TVXQ released their new song, but fans already noticed a change in the lyrics during its premiere broadcast through MBC Radio. The original lyrics, “I was a stupid fool who couldn’t even take care of you“, was modified to “I was stupid and couldn’t even take care of you.”
SM Entertainment made an official clarification on this matter on March 18th, as they stated, “MBC’s Radio and TV were considering rejecting the song for broadcast because of the lyrics. This is why we changed ’stupid fool’ to just ’stupid’.”
Though MBC held some concerns about the lyrics, it’s said that SBS and KBS had no problems with them at all, and thus allowed the song to pass their standards test.
This change will mean that TVXQ will have to sing the modified version of the song on MBC’s “Music Core“, while they sing the original version on KBS’s “Music Bank” and SBS’s “Inkigayo“.
15 Maret: TVXQ has finally released the highly-anticipated music video for “Before U Go“, the title track from their repackaged album.Directed by Jo Soo Hyun, the filming took place near Kangnam, Incheon, and Ilsan for a total of five days. The music video stars not only TVXQ’s Yunho and Changmin, but actor Choi Jong Yoon and actress Go Ara as well.
SM Entertainment reported that they used matrix cameras in order to draw out the tension between four former friends who all used to attend the same police academy. Through lively action scenes, the story aims to express the feelings of love, friendship, and betrayal between the four, as well as the story surrounding Choi Jong Yoon’s decision to betray his closest friend due to his troubled childhood.

TVXQ will be releasing their full repackaged album on March 16th, and will be performing on KBS’s “Music Bank” on the 18th.
14 Maret: On March 14th, TVXQ officially released their title track, “Before U Go“, from their repackaged album for “Keep Your Head Down.”Moments after its release, “Before U Go” rapidly climbed music charts on MelOn, dosirak, andBugs. Representatives of SM Entertainment introduced the song by stating, “‘Before U Go’ is a traditional R&B track with heavy emotions. Yunho and Changmin’s vocals were put at center focus. The song is unique in that it moves not only according to melody, but rhythm is well. The song switches back and forth between an 8-beat and 32-beat vocal rhythm.”

However, it seems “Before U Go” was recently leaked on the internet and the track has been spreading rapidly on various Korean message boards and cafes.

11 Maret: On March 11th, TVXQ released the teaser to the title track of their repackaged album, “Before U Go“!This teaser features powerful footage from the dramatized music video for the title track of their repackaged album, as well as an introduction of the figures that star in it.
Aside from members Yunho and Changmin, actress Go Ara and actor Choi Jong Yoon also make special appearances to add a special touch to the story line.
The classic R&B track focused its attention on bringing out the clarity of Yunho and Changmin’s vocals while depicting the emotional feelings of one man bidding his lover farewell and hoping for her happiness. So check out the Athena inspired spinoff below!
Their full repackaged album will include a special intro track, “Before U Go (Monologue),” along with the other standard releases, for a total of 14 tracks.
The special package edition enables fans to put up the actual album as an acrylic frame with 54 different images that can be switched out according to taste.
“Before U Go” will be released online on the 14th, followed by the full album’s release on the 16th.
TVXQ would be releasing a repackaged Japanese album with an additional track. It’s just been revealed that the boys will be releasing a Korean version of their ”Keep Your Head Down” repackaged album, which will also come with one new track!
The duo will be concluding their promotions for “Keep Your Head Down” on music programs soon, and will be following up with “Know This Before You Go,” a traditional R&B track with a new performance style that’s fit for its emotive feel.
The Korean repackaged album will be released on March 16th, and the Japanese repackaged album will drop on March 30th with “Before U Go” as its additional track.

On March 6th, HMV reported that TVXQ’s Japanese repackaged album is scheduled to drop on March 30th with the addition of a new track titled, “Koredakewa Wakattehoshii (“Before U Go“). The duo will also perform at the “SM Town” concert on April 9th and 10th.
However, before they depart for Japan, EDaily is reporting that TVXQ will be performing “Before U Go” in Korea sometime in mid-March as a follow-up promotion to “Keep Your Head Down.”

Yunho explained, “I like career-based women who have leadership. I really liked Jun Ji Hyun’s character in the movie, ‘My Sassy Girl‘. She has both an innocent side and a sexy side.”
When Changmin picked Han Ye Seul as his ideal woman, he added, “I’d be lying if I didn’t look at one’s physical appearance. I like women who have a kind personality and cooks well, and someone who is respectful to adults.”

On February 22nd, MBC’s “Starry Night Radio” will host two very special guests, as Insooni and TVXQ will make an appearance together to engage in a special joint performance.
Insooni, who began promotions for her new song “Uppercut“, will be performing it live through “Starry Night Radio”, and TVXQ will perform alongside her; it’ll be a special occasion for the duo as well, as they professed that Insooni is a senior they’ve always admired.
Known for enjoying collaborations with other artists, like in Jo PD’s “My Friend” and Mighty Mouth’s “Smile“, fans are looking forward to hearing her newest effort with Korea’s top idol duo.

As it’s been seven years since their debut album was released, what could be the explanation for this sudden increase in sales?
As all of you know, the group made its comeback with just two members, Yunho and Changmin, after three of its members - Junsu, Jaejoong and Yoochun - left the agency to form their own unit, ‘JYJ‘. Before the beginning of this mess, the group promoted in Japan for a long period of time, giving fans no chance to see them on Korean variety shows. They were heartbroken to see thatthe group split into two before returning to Korea, as they would not be shown together as five.
However, with the current promotions of the TVXQ duo, fans have been able to see them on numerous variety shows, such as SBS’s ‘Running Man’, KBS’s ‘Happy Together’, and SBS’s ‘Strong Heart’. This gave them incredible exposure to the public once again, resulting in many new fans who have little knowledge of the group’s history.
One reason for the sudden rise in sales for the group’s debut album is partly due to these new fans, who are curious about the group’s past and how they started their career.
Currently, both TVXQ’s ‘Keep Your Head Down Special Edition’ and ‘Hug’ is ranked high on the Hanteo charts.

Setelah 2 tahun hiatus dari Korean music industry, TVXQ membuat triumphant minggu lalu. Pada 12 Januari, member Yunho dan Changmin mengadakan press conference untuk mendiskusikan berbagai isu mengenai comeback mereka.
Yunho menyatakan, “We came back for the first time in two years and three months, and I swelled with emotions when I saw how many fans came. I wanted to show everyone an amazing live and worked hard to achieve it, but unfortunately, I caught a cold. Although I received IV treatments, my voice still didn’t improve in the morning, so I worried a lot. It still hasn’t improved yet.”
Changmin menambahkan, “I don’t think I was as nervous as I thought I would be. It was really exciting and fun.”
Saat ditanya mengenai efforts mereka sebagai two-membered TVXQ, Yunho menyatakan, “While preparing for the album with only two members, I thought that I had to make it live up to the standards of ‘TVXQ’. TVXQ was known for its strong performances and lives, so there wasn’t a single thing we could slack off on. We brought about a lot of changes on the high notes, and switched parts for every different genre.”
Changmin, “There’s pressure in having to carry the name of ‘TVXQ’ as two members. Ever since our debut, Yunho-hyung was known for his dancing, so I didn’t want to bring down the performance. In other words, I didn’t want to lose by comparison (laughter).”

Yunho menyatakan, “If I’m like fire, Changmin is like water. He’s really like my wife. Our personalities began to mesh, and we’ve gotten a lot closer as a result. Don’t lasers shoot from our eyes on stage? We’ve worked hard in preparing something that could stop people from looking at us with worried eyes, and to not disappoint ourselves as well. Dengan tenang Yunho menyatakan, “For two years and three months, I waited for those three friends. Since they’re still not here, I figured that someone had to protect ‘TVXQ’ instead of just continuing to wait. ‘TVXQ’ was created as a cumulative effort between a company named SM Entertainment, five members, and our fans. In order to make sure it would never be forgotten, we figured that this would be the best way to protect TVXQ.”
He continued, “I’ve always had a positive mindset, but it’s gotten a lot more positive now. During that difficult time, I would just grabbed a water bottle and ride around on the seven subway lines; sometimes I even went mountain climbing. I felt a lot of affection for the little things. In a way, those difficulties became a sort of ‘happiness’ – I was glad that it had occurred when I was younger, so that I could mature from it. I’m not sure whether this path is right, but I do believe that everything will work out if we all try hard.”
“They were all personal wounds, and the pain from my ‘leader’ role was greater, but not once did I ask anyone to ‘Listen to what I have to say.’ What’s already happened is too big for just the two of us to solve on our own. I believe the answer is to just spare our words on issues regarding the law, and to just work hard on our singing and promotions.”
Saat ditanya personal antara JYJ dan SM Entertainment, Yunho menjawab, “I just want them to hurry up and come back to TVXQ. Under the name of music, everything was great, but further promotions created a difference in values. Those values are personal problems, and I don’t want to go into anything long-winded on that. I just want them to be healthy. The only thing I can ask is for them to come back. The three have crossed the line and have gone too far for us to catch them. I just want them to solve the dispute with our company, and hurry up and come back. It was difficult. It hurt. I felt a sense of resentment against people. As opposed to hate, I was hurt. But I just accepted it all. Honestly, I didn’t have the time to harbor hate against anyone.”
“Once, I met a little kid and I asked him who his favorite singer or group was, and he replied that he liked SNSD. When I asked whether he knew of TVXQ, he said that he didn’t. It may be because he’s young, but it felt disappointing because we weren’t promoting.”
Yunho melanjutkan, “Three may have left, but I don’t want ‘TVXQ’ to be forgotten. We have to do well and go down a positive path. Even if it’s just the two of us, we have to protect our name and position.”
Changmin menyattakan, “The media has been creating an issue out of it, and the situation has turned into an offensive and defensive battle. I think it’s definite that people are curious for the thoughts from all five of us. What I want to say is that all five exist in this spot because we shared a time of precious hardships.”

Mengenai Junsu infamous tweet, Yunho menyatakan, “When I first read Junsu’s tweet, I thought, ‘He’s making a mistake.’ I can get over what he said about me, but to use the term ‘enemy’ against not only our staff, but to our seniors as well, was not right of him.”
Changmin menambahkan, “To label not only Lee Soo Man, but the staff who have suffered for TVXQ as ‘enemies’ isn’t respectful as a human being.”

No matter what award we win, I think it’ll be very meaningful for us because of the long hiatus we went through to get it.”

Yunho, “I go bowling with my close friends. I don’t like drinking, so even if I do go out to drink with friends, I don’t drink.”

Changmin menambahkan, “While watching the year-end award ceremonies last year, all I could think about was wanting to stand on stage. I thought I’d be nervous, but maybe this is what it feels like to come back home after studying abroad.”
Reporter menyatakan fans telah menunggu mereka kembali selama lebih dari 2 tahun, Yunho menjawab, “We’ll work as hard as our fans have waited for our return. We’ll be standing on many stages as singers, and appear on variety shows as well. It’s important to do well, but even more important to try our best. Please look forward to us.”
Interview dengan Star News, Yunho menyatakan, “It’s been a while since we’ve stood on a Korean stage, so I was very excited, feeling very much like a rookie again. We’ve gotten a lot of juniors here at the broadcast hall, and I felt thankful in being greeted by them. We’ll be promoting ‘Keep Your Head Down‘, and we’ll show a good image to our fellow seniors, juniors, and our fans.”
Changmin, “It feels good returning to Korea. The broadcast hall feels like our home, it’s very fun.”
Dengan kontroversi ‘the second coming of TVXQ‘ pernyataan di ‘Thanks To’, Yunho mengklarifikasi, “It’s just an expression of our feelings in starting our activities again as a duo. After a long while, Changmin and I have released an album, the message was just meant to be an expression of greeting our fans again. It’s our new sense of determination.”
Saat ditanya perbedaan menyanyi dengan 2 member dibandingkan 5 member, Yunho menjawab, “First of all, you need more stamina. Changmin took charge of the high notes while I covered the lower notes. I was worried about whether they’d match, but thankfully it harmonizes well. We tried to pay attention to every part of our choreography. It’s an album we’re confident in, as we’ve put our best in it for our fans to look forward to.”

Edisi spesial “Keep Your Head Down” dirilis 5 januari.
Album ini menempati posisi pertama di chart Hanteo, dan juga pada beberapa situs musik seperti Bugs, dosirak, Mnet, dan Daum Music.
MV untuk lagu mereka juga merupakan yang paling banyak dilihat, paling favorit di YouTube Korea. “Keep Your Head Down” juga terdapat dalam list lokasi YouTube lain untuk Kanada, UK, Belanda, Russia dll.
Mereka akan comeback di “Music Bank” tgl 7, “Music Core” tgl 8, dan “Inkigayo” tgl 9, diikuti dengan rilis album edisi standar tgl 12. Setelah 2 tahun 3 bulan, TVXQ kembali ke industri musik Korea.
Album TVXQ menampilkan komposer Yoo Young Jin, Kenzie, Park Chang Hyun, E-TRIBE, dan Outsidaz, yang berkolaborasi membawa vokal karismatik mereka berdua. Park Chang Hyun, yang sebelumnya mengkomposisi , “Hug,” kembali untuk lagu ballad, “How Can I.”

After two years and three months, TVXQ has finally returned to the Korean music industry with the help of some of the biggest names in the industry.
TVXQ’s album features composers Yoo Young Jin, Kenzie, Park Chang Hyun, E-TRIBE, and Outsidaz, who all collaborated in bringing out the charismatic vocals of the duo while attempting new and exciting genres.
Park Chang Hyun, who previously composed the group’s debut track, “Hug,” has returned once more for the group’s ballad track, “How Can I.”
Yunho’s solo song, “Honey Funny Bunny,” is a trendy song of the ’slow jam’ genre and is composed by E-TRIBE. The unique title refers to a man’s description of the woman he falls in love with upon first sight.
Changmin’s solo ballad track, “Confession,” was self-written and features a piano and orchestra that aids in bringing out his strong vocals. The lyrics express the feelings of a man’s sorrow after having lost his love.
Other tracks include a dance track featuring the rap of Trax’s Jay, “Crazy,” a modern melody of vocal harmonization, “Rumor,” and “Maximum.”
The group will be holding their official comeback performance on December 7th at KBS’s “Music Bank.”

TVXQ akhirnya merilis comeback track, “Keep Your Head Down” pada 3 Januari lewat MelOn, Dosirak, Bugs dan berbagai situs portal musik lain.
Lagu tersebut menunjukkan kekuatan dan karisma suara mereka, dan liriknya menceritakan seorang pria yang dikhianati oleh kekasihnya. Lirik “I’ll erase everything of you inside of me and set out for a brighter future. Someday, you’ll realize just how genuine the love you threw away was,” menunjukkan overall mood lagu tersebut.
MV mereka directed oleh Jo Soo Hyun, dan akan dirilis tgl 4 lewat YouTube dan homepage resmi.
Edisi spesial akan ada tgl 5, dan edisi standar tgl 12.
