On November 5th, Y-STAR‘s ’Curious Things‘ conducted a street survey in which they asked ordinary people about the criteria of being an idol.

According to the survey results, the average age of  idols came out to be 25 – indicating that people did not really see stars over the age of 25, as idols. Taking this into account, Y-STAR calculated the average age of various groups.

Groups such as SNSD, T-ara, and 2PM were found to have an average age of less than 25, while groups like Super Junior and Brown Eyed Girls had a higher average age.

With these results, it was concluded that Brown Eyed Girls and Super Junior should be not recognized as just ‘idols’, but rather as ‘adult idols’.

What kinds of drinking habits do the stars have?

Actor Jang Dong Gun is famous for falling asleep after a few drinks, while Song Joongki is known to scream at the top of his lungs.

But the drinking habits of stars such as Lee Young Ah who confessed to well handle 20 shots of whiskey, or Jo In Sung who drinks up to 35 beer+soju concoctions are still no match for that of 2PM’s Nichkhun nor Lee Juk.

Lee Jun Ki has a habit of embracing people after tossing back a few drinks, while Nichkhun gets a bit touchy feely, even kissing those around him. Yoon Jong Shin revealed that singer Lee Juk has a habit of removing his clothing when tipsy.

On the other hand, there are celebrities that cannot hold their alcohol well at all. Song Seung Hun is known for being unable to handle alcohol, as his max limit is half a bottle of soju, falling asleep before even finishing.

Y-STAR exposes the drinking habits of all the top stars on the episode of ‘Rapid Reflexes‘ that airs on the 29th at 11PM.

CableTV Y-STAR conducted a survey asking 1,000 Seoul residents about who they felt was the ultimate idol star and why. The results? Big Bang’s G-Dragon was picked as the ultimate triple-threat, thanks to his songwriting, composing, and rapping skills.

A close second was 2PM’s Nichkhun, who was chosen for his cute image and was voted hands-down the ultimate foreign idol star.

Also chosen were JYJ’s Junsu for his singing talents, Jay Park for his dance skills, Big Bang’s T.O.P for his charismatic appeal, 2AM’s Jo Kwon for being the most entertaining celebrity, 2PM’s Taecyeon for hottest body, and Super Junior’s Choi Si Won for being the most handsome.

There are many beautiful Korean women in the entertainment industry but who stands out above the rest?

On August 29th, cable channel Y-STAR recently took the time to spotlight the top 50 most beautiful stars in Korea. They polled 163 men and 176 women from the ages of 10 to 50 to compile the full list.
