On August 25th, Mnet’s ‘M! Countdown‘ broadcasted an idol dance battle special afters its usual programming!

Idol groups INFINITE, TEEN TOP, Block B, Dal Shabet, Nine Muses, and the Brave Girls duked it out on the dance floor through performances of various dance styles, like hip hop and breakdancing.

They were judged by former Seo Taiji member Lee Juno, whose vote made up 60% of the decision, with the remaining 40% calculated through SMS text votes.

Producers commented, “In an effort to spotlight both dancing – an quality that has become a representative of K-Pop all over the world – as well as these rookie idol groups, this dance battle will be an opportunity for viewers to get a glimpse into the future of K-Pop.”

Mnet’s “M! Countdown” is back with another episode of great performances!

It was a hot battle between Super Junior, INFINITE, and 2NE1 for the #1 spot on “M! Countdown” today, but in the end, Super Junior clinched a triple crown win with “Mr. Simple“!

Congratulations to Super Junior!

They also performed their symbolic “Sorry, Sorry” after winning a Daum Fan Cafe Stage poll!

Chinese singer Wei Chen (魏晨) performed on this week’s episode of Mnet’s ‘M! Countdown‘ with a collaborative track featuring MBLAQ’s Lee Joon and Thunder!

“Run Away” was released digitally on August 25th, and has been described as an exciting R&B-style track, carrying both acoustic and electric guitar sounds. The song will be included in Wei Chen’s Chinese album next month.

Co-produced by CJ E&M, EE-Media, and M Plus Entertainment, representatives revealed, “Wei Chen is extremely glad to be able to work with the best idols of Korea, MBLAQ. We hope that through this project, there will be more opportunities for Korea and China to share their cultures together.”

Representatives of MBLAQ added, “It’s an honor to be able to participate in Wei Chen’s album. We hope that it receives a lot of love in China. We were actually surprised with how great his Korean pronunciation was, so we hope to see him often on Korean stages.”

Shinhwa’s Eric finally got to see his new girl group STELLAR make their stage debut through today’s episode of Mnet’s ‘M! Countdown‘.

Their title track “Rocket Girl” was composed by Kim Do Hyun (of Hyori’s “10 Minutes” fame). Described to be a song with an electro-house style, “Rocket Girl” will not only show off the members’ individual charms, but Eric’s as well, since he included some raps in the song.
