After revealing their second MV teaser for “UFO”, the girls of Stellar are finding themselves in the spotlight, but for the wrong reasons.
In the teaser, the girls are seen wearing costumes that resemble school uniforms while performing their choreography. Although the choreography itself seems relatively harmless, viewers felt that the length of the girls’ skirts wasn’t appropriate for it — one of the members had accidentally flashed the camera three seconds into the teaser.
Viewers commented along the lines of, “That kind of choreography when the skirt is so short… It seems like it was intentional”, “I guess this will help them gain attention.”
In response, Top Class Entertainment has issued a statement, stating, “They were wearing shorts underneath while dancing. It was not intended to cause any exposure… We are considering making changes to the current stage outfits.”

On January 27th, Top Class Entertainment revealed profile info and photos of the new members.
Hyoeun is said to be 170 cm tall, and is in her 3rd year of high school. She’s known locally for her talented vocals, and acts as the vocalist in her school band.
As for Minhee, she stands at 168 cm and is a dance student at Hanyang University. She possesses strong abilities not just in dance, but in singing as well.
Hyoeun and Minhee expressed their hopes for a great debut, and asked fans for their support. “We will work more diligently since we joined in the middle [of STELLAR's activities], so please watch over us beautifully as we join STELLAR. Please cheer us on!”
STELLAR will be making their comeback with Hyoeun and Minhee this February with their second digital single.
17 October:
On October 16th, Stellar celebrated their 50th ‘day-versary’ with messages for their fans and new selca updates on their me2day.
Ga Young wrote, “Baby Ga Young the size of my pinky hehe >< I received it as a present for our 50th day celebration, isn’t it so, so, so, so cute *_*?!!! Kya~3 Although it’s raining a lot today.. Put your hands up if you’re going to see us at Incheon later!!!! Please dress warmly if you’re coming~♡.”
The girls wrote, “Clap clap clap!! A bit late~ but this is a picture of our celebration party for our 50th day thrown by our fans >< Thank you so, so, so much everyone~*_* Let’s be together for our 500th day and even our 5,00th♥.”

Stellar has been luckier than most girl groups considering they’re under the support of Shinhwa‘sEric. They’ve been earning opportunities left and right, making many wonder just how many different talents these girls have.
The CEO of their agency recently spoke to Star News and revealed, “Just like how Kim Ga Young is promoting as a reporter as well as pursuing acting activities, the other members will be trying other individual activities on their own.”
He continued, “The members are all receiving acting lessons and our agency is supporting them to make sure that they have a variety of talents. Kim Ga Young, Jun Yool, Joa, and Lee Seul are all very talented girls. We’re looking forward to how and what they’ll be achieving in other areas aside from their promotions as a group.”
Kim Ga Young previously made her debut as an actress through KBS‘s ‘Spy Myung Wol‘ and was also recently chosen as a reporter for ‘Entertainment Relay‘.

STELLAR’s unique concept is posing a fresh appeal among girl groups.
After releasing their first digital single, ‘Rocket Girl‘, STELLAR is becoming a hot search item on various portal sites.
On August 25th, STELLAR performed their debut stage with “Rocket Girl” on Mnet’s ‘M Countdown‘, on the 26th, KBS’s ‘Music Bank‘, and on the 28th, SBS’s ‘Inkigayo‘. STELLAR showed off a unique and fresh color, different from the other female groups.
The song has already become a hot topic before its release as it was written by Kim Do Hyun and also featured Shinhwa’s Eric.
Netizens responded to their song with “STELLAR is bringing attention as it is different from other girl groups“, “I like that they are fresh“, and “I keep listening to the song because it’s addictive“.

Brand new girl group Stellar have finally released their music video for their debut track, “Rocket Girl“!
Adopting a ‘cyber’ concept to match the futuristic sounds in their song, Stellar became secret agents on a mission to save their boss, Eric. Shooting laser guns and lethal amounts of aegyo, these girls won’t stop until they free Eric and incite a dance revolution across the nation.

Over the past few days, Top Class Entertainment released a series of video clips called ‘Making The Artist‘ to introduce the members of their new girl group, Stellar. Previously, Ga Young and Jeon Yul showed off their strong dance skills, which both had different charms – Gayoung showed off the elegance of traditional Korean dance, while Jeon Yul delivered a sexy cover of Rihanna’s “S&M”.
On August 22nd, Stellar decided to reveal their cute and sweet sides through their remaining two members, JoA and Lee Seul.
The clip begins with Lee Seul, who appears to have a soft spot for puppies. JoA, meanwhile, is said to enjoy coffee. Both these girls were involved in a vocal group called ‘Honeydew‘ before they got involved with Top Class Entertainment.

When girl groups say they’re four-dimensional in personality, not a lot is expected, especially since they have an image to keep up. Eric’s new girl group Stellar, on the other hand, shattered those expectations through their hilarious interview with E Daily.
The interview began with maknae Jeon Yul (18) proudly holding up her Little Prince pendant, describing him as her boyfriend from when she lived back on her ’star planet’.
She explained, “I’m actually 564 years old. I’m the princess of a star planet but I made a grave mistake that made my dad send me to Earth as punishment. This is just a body that I’m borrowing. I told the girl’s mother that I’m sorry and that I promise to use her body well before returning it to her.”
The other members are just as quirky. Ga Young describes herself as a ‘pink princess’, as she loves to dress in the color pink from head to toe. She claims that it helps her dance better.
The group considers the team’s oldest, Lee Seul (22), as the maknae of the group due to her childish nature. After finding out that Ga Young hated bugs, Lee Seul would purposely go out of her way to find a bug to wave in her face. The other members added, “She’s kind of like an otaku.”
Chic but boyish Joa (21) has a tough personality and loves to put her strength to the test. She claimed that not being feminine enough was one of her weak points, which made the members quickly add that putting on makeup was her hobby and that she loved to perform aegyo.
With such eccentric personalities brought together into one group, it’s no wonder why their song is just as unique. The girls will be making their debut on August 23rd with “Rocket Girl“, a song with unique lyrics that doesn’t focus on love but on unusual ideas like, “Go out into space and don’t come back!”
The girls will be using their cyber concept as their differentiating factor. “It’s Stellar’s own charm.” When asked how their music video filming went, the members said, “It was a lot of fun pretending to shoot guns and hitting the enemy. Lee Seul and Joa are both fans of ‘Sudden Attack‘, so they had a lot of fun.”
They proudly added, “The staff complimented us for shooting guns well.”
Stellar will be officially debuting on Mnet’s ‘M! Countdown‘ on August 25th.
“Just like Shinhwa, we want to become one of the longest lasting idol groups. We also want to win #1 on a music program with our first promotion cycle.”

As their producer, Eric has given them not only advice as a senior but also trained them right from the ground roots. As the leader of one of the longest-lasting idol groups to date, Eric put special emphasis on teamwork. Check out their introductions and interview below!
▶ (Lee Seul) “Hello! Last year, I was in a vocal group called Honeydew with member Joa before joining as Stellar’s newest member. I wanted to promote in a girl group so very badly that I really gave my all for this opportunity. I began singing in high school and auditioned through a UCC video to become a member. I’ve also competed in various singing competitions.”
▶ (Joa) “I’m Joa. I previously promoted in a vocal group with Lee Seul before debuting with Stellar. The two of us attended the same vocal academy in high school and I, too, joined the group through a UCC video. My voice is on the huskier side so I had a lot of trouble trying to change it to a cuter tone since I’m now a girl group member.”
▶ (Jun Yul) “I’m Stellar’s 18 year old maknae, Jun Yul. I’ve always loved dancing since I was little so I joined a dance club in school. My four-dimensional character is my charm.”
▶ (Ga Young) “I’m Ga Young. I first got my face known through the ‘1 Night 2 Days‘ viewer tour as the ‘Kukak High School SNSD’. I always intended to major in traditional dance but as I began to take acting lessons and auditioned for our agency, I felt charmed by both acting and singing. I’m currently a dance major at Sungkyunkwan University and am also acting in KBS 2TV’s ‘Spy Myung Wol’.”
Q. “There are a lot of girl groups in the industry. What kind of color would you describe Stellar to be?”
▶ “We’re a girl group that’s not really a girl group. Our debut track is an electronic dance track titled ‘Rocket Girl‘ and it features a cyber space image that brings out the charms of each member. All of us are jokers so it’s always fun together. Being upbeat is our color.”
Q. “Lee Seul and Joa were in the vocal group ‘Honeydew’ together.”
▶ “We consider it as a preparation period for Stellar. We were excited to be able to debut as an idol again since we hope to be seen as femininely as possible. We’re curious and also a bit worried but as our title song is unique, we’re also very confident.”
Q. “Ga Young is currently promoting as an actress ahead of the group’s debut. How’s that like?”
▶ “I’m having a lot of fun. I don’t have that much scenes but I like the experience I’m gaining from it. Seniors like Eric and Jang Hee Jin take care of me and help me out a lot. I worried a lot since it was my first time but I’m having fun. I’m glad and thankful that the public is able to recognize me from ‘1 Night 2 Days’. As an actress, I’m only just now taking my first steps so I must continue to gain experience and do my best. I’m working with the thought of learning one step at a time.”
Q. “How has Eric helped Stellar’s debut?”
▶ “Eric senior told us at first to call him oppa or uncle. He’s given us so much advice. During recordings, he’ll pour out the criticisms as a producer and give us know-hows for our performances on stage. He also emphasizes the importance of respect and greetings. Jun Yul, who’s the rapper, also received acting lessons with him for over hours. He’s been teaching us the strengths of Shinhwa.”
Q. “Do you have a nickname you hope to earn from your fans?”
▶ “Social idols! All of our members are interested in every social network out there like Facebook, Twitter, Me2day, fancafes, and other sites. We’ve already made a Stellar page even before our debut. We hope to converse with our fans freely.”
Q. “What are your goals for your debut?”
▶ “There is the pressure of being known as Eric’s girl group. We want to show everyone how different Eric’s girl group is. More than anything, we feel like we’ve been transferred the energy of ‘longevity idols’ Shinhwa with a strong friendship and teamwork of our own. Like the theme of our debut track, we’re going to enjoy our debut stage, so please look forward to it.”

Although they filmed their debut music video back in May, the debut date for Eric’s girl group Stellarwas subsequently delayed due to member Kim Ga Young’s role in the KBS drama, ‘Spy Myung Wol‘.
But with the drama at its mid-way point, Top Class Entertainment has decided to debut the group finally and released their MV teaser for their title song, “Rocket Girl“.
Apart from Kim Ga Young (who is arguably the most known member thus far), the other members of the group are Lee Seul, JOA and Jeon Youl. Their debut album was produced by composer Kim Do Hyun (of Hyori’s “10 Minutes“), and Eric acted as the album’s director. Eric also rapped in the girls’ debut track, “Rocket Girl“, in addition to appearing in their music video.
