SECRET attended the gaming party with 300 other gamers to check out exclusive information on the upcoming release of the game. The game will include special characters modeled after SECRET.
Hyosung began, “It was such a fun and unique experience. On stage, our game characters danced on screen behind us so it was a lot of fun. Don’t our kitten characters look alike to us?”
The girls cosplayed in the oufits their characters are wearing and got on stage to perform their hit tracks like “Love is Move” and “Shy Boy“, drawing out cheers from the audience. Later, their characters joined them on stage as back dancers.
After completing their performances, the girls sat down to express, “We first heard that our outfits were made with the game in mind so we didn’t expect much, but they’re actually really unique and beautiful. We feel as if we’ve actually become game characters ourselves. It’s an honor to be able to participate and perform at such a large-scale gaming festival like this.”
SECRET’s kitten game characters earned a round of applause from the audience, especially in the detailed manner in which they were created. Not only did they know SECRET’s choreography, but also their facial expressions and gestures.
Jieun continued, “I learned a lot about this game through this opportunity. The characters are pretty and cute, and I’m always recommending everyone around me to try out the game. I’ll enjoy the game for myself on my free time.”
Hyosung added, “The characters are really alike to us in that they know all of the expressions and gestures we make while performing. You can really see the amount of detail put into them.”
As a nod to the Hallyu wave, this is the first time a game of this level has spent so much money on incorporating a specific girl group.
Hyosung, who actually participated in the outfit production, stated, “To girl groups, receiving compliments saying that we look like dolls or game characters are the best compliments we can receive.”
Concluding the interview, Hyosung expressed, “It was an honor to be invited to such an event. As game characters, we will be playing the game as well. These days, we’re all hard at work on our next album. See you in June!”

SECRET successfully completed their first ever Japan tour ‘Secret Time’ held on March 5th through the 8th.
Their tour included stops at cities like Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo, and captured the hearts of all the Japanese fans along the way!
They opened up the show by singing “Magic”, which was brought to life with LED and 3D effects. Their concert also included their many hit songs from Korea and those from Japan, totaling 20 songs altogether! In addition, the solo performances, ambitiously prepared by the members, gained enthusiastic response from the audience.
The climax of the solo performances came from leader Hyosung. Losing 5 kg for the concert, Hyosungshowed off her glamourous body through her performances of Beyonce‘s “Naughty Girl” and “Crazy in Love”, earning herself the nickname of “Korea’s Beyonce”!
The venue, the site of performances by other famous Korean artists such as Rain, CNBLUE, and F.T. Island, was jam packed with thousands of Japanese and Korean fans, regardless of gender and age, showing enormous enthusiasm for SECRET.
With this being the group’s first solo concert as well as their first Japan tour since their debut 2 years ago, the girls have shown initiative, and plans to achieve even bigger dreams in the future.

Their concert, ‘Secret 1st Japan Tour “SECRET TIME” 2012‘ will begin on March 5th and continue through March 8th.
After releasing the Japanese version of their hit song, “Madonna“, Secret quickly rose to the top of the Oricon chart. This concert, being Secret’s first solo concert, will be over two hours long and consist of performances of their hit songs such as “Madonna”, “Magic“, “Shy Boy“, “Moonlight Sunlight“, “Love is Move“, and more.
The members have also prepared special solo performances for their fans.
In related news, after releasing their ballad single ‘Kore Kurai No Sayonara‘ on the 29th of last month, Secret has been balancing their busy schedules with concert rehearsals in order to deliver the best performances for their fans.

SECRET has led a busy year with their hit songs “Shy Boy“, “Starlight Moonlight“, and “Love is Move“. They kicked off their Japanese debut a few months ago, and now they’re looking to expand into the Chinese market.
On December 26th, TS Entertainment revealed, “SECRET will be promoting all over Asia in addition to their Korean and Japanese promotions next year. 2012 will mark the official start of their Asian advancement.”
Their cute, trendy songs have become a trademark to their image, and officials are wondering whether this image will work in China. A representative stated, “We’ve received a lot of fan meeting and performance requests from all over Asia so we’re trying to work them into their schedules.”
In related news, SECRET will be attending all of the year-end ceremonies this year.

Girl group SECRET has shared a special video message, just in time for the holidays!
On December 21st, SECRET uploaded a Christmas greeting card onto their official YouTube for ‘Secret Time’, their fanbase.
With “Starlight Moonlight” playing in the background, the girls said, “Secret Time, are you doing well? Christmas is already here! How are you going to spend Christmas? How are we going to spend it? We have a schedule to attend to and it appears like we’ll have to practice as well.”
“Since promotions for ‘Love is Move‘ have concluded, we won’t be able to see you for awhile. Please don’t forget about us! We wish you spend the rest of the year in happiness! Have a warm Christmas and we hope to have a closer relationship with you! We’re SECRET! Thank you, and have a Merry Christmas!”

SECRET has announced that they’ll be concluding their promotions for “Love is Move“ on November 27th’s broadcast of SBS‘s ’Inkigayo‘.
‘Love is Move’ was first released back on October 18th. Despite the fierce competition between top girl groups like SNSD, T-ara, and Wonder Girls, SECRET pulled it off well with a sexy, yet cute concept. Reflecting on their promotional period, SECRET shared, “Our biggest success is in the increase of public awareness about our group.”
Member Han Sunhwa sat down with Sports Chosun for an interview and expressed, “Personally, it was an honor to perform on the same stage as SNSD and the Wonder Girls sunbaenims. People started picking us as a competitor against SNSD sunbaenims. We were shocked and extremely happy at the same time.”
She continued, “We’ve learned a lot from watching SNSD’s performances, and we became close with them through KBS‘s ‘Invincible Youth‘; we support and stay in touch with each other. The [Love is Move] promotions were very meaningful and valuable to us.”
Although the girls had a good time with ‘Love is Move’, there have been some downsides as well. Previously, Hyosung was sent to the ER right before SECRET’s comeback due to a severe flu; nowshe’s in a cast for both her legs after taking a nasty tumble down the stairs., “Its a shame I wasn’t able to maintain my health,” said Hyosung. “I thought I was really healthy, but all the accumulated fatigue hit me hard. Thats why I’ve been eating vitamins these days which I never ate before.”

SECRET is known to be one of the sweetest girl groups in the industry, and their latest YouTube video shows exactly why.
The girls created a video message for students in Korea, who are currently cramming for college entrance exams. While they encouraged them to work hard, SECRET also said that the most important thing is good health. Since the weather is getting chillier these days, fans should dress warmly to prevent catching colds.
The girls concluded their advice session by saying it’s important to sleep early and eat meals regularly. When you do your best, success is sure to follow.

SECRET swooped down to Lotte World recently and caused a frenzy with their surprise guerrilla date!
Organized by ‘Entertainment Relay‘, the girls drew a big crowd as soon as they arrived. Fans paid no attention to the fact that the guerilla date was held at a late hour, or that it was staged outdoors in the freezing cold.
SECRET couldn’t hide their own excitement, as they don’t often get the chance to visit an amusement park. The four members rode on a few rides despite the cool breeze, and didn’t show any signs of exhaustion as the night wore on.
The girls also played a game with their fans at the park, where they were required to pick a partner for specific missions. One of the missions was to teach their partner the key moves to “Love is Move“, and the four couples then put on a dance-off. The high school students who were picked as SECRET’s partners became the envy of their friends, and everyone at the park commented on how the event created a warm atmosphere.

On performing “Don’t Smile” in innocent white dresses, the girls said, “We’ve always performed dance tracks so we were a bit worried as to how people would react to our ballad stage. Fortunately, a lot of people said that we matched it.”
Leader Hyosung revealed, “My throat hasn’t been in good condition lately but it got a lot better today so I was able to sing live. Although it’s hard to dance and sing ‘Love is Move’ at the same time, it feels really refreshing once we come off stage after pulling it off.”
She continued, “Every comeback, we’re filled with thoughts of things we could’ve done better at, but there’s really nothing more we can do than to always work harder than the last. I think we succeeded in transforming our image.”
The girls were also noticed wearing 15 cm heels. Showing her heels to the reporters, Hyosung said, “We almost did sprain our ankle once, but we’re extra careful.”

Through an interview with OSEN, the girls remarked that they saw the newly released MV today and they all agreed, “It was pretty awesome.”
Sunhwa exclaimed, “They all look really pretty in it. SNSD never disappoints!” and gave it a thumbs up.
Jieun also remarked, ”We actually have the same MV director as SNSD. He’s been working with us since our debut, but he chose to film their MV first… Director, do your like the SNSD unnis better than us?” she joked.
Hyosung added, “It’s an honor just to be performing on the same stage as them. We will think of this as a great opportunity and work harder.”
SECRET has just released their full album ‘MOVING IN SECRET‘ along with the MV for ‘Love is Move‘ while SNSD released their album ‘The Boys‘ on the 19th.

The four ladies of SECRET are back with their first full-length album, ‘Moving in Secret‘. Different from the cute, girl-next door image fans are used to, SECRET has undergone a complete transformation. For their new album, they’re rocking mostly all-black ensembles and heavier eye-makeup for a more adult, sultry-look.
With this said, SECRET will also be going head-to-head against the ladies of SNSD who are making their comeback the same week as SECRET. Most idol stars have postponed their late-October comebacks and opted to begin their new promotions in early November to avoid the SNSD onslaught, but not SECRET. Newsen recently asked them about their bold decision, and the girls answered rather confidently.
They humbly stated, “We are a little concerned, knowing what SNSD is capable of. However for the two years that we’ve been in the industry, we’ve never looked at it as competition or wanted to win against anyone. We simply want to confidently show our fans our new look, as well everything we’ve worked so hard to put together. That in and of itself is enough for us.”
Although they were humble, they seemed confident and raised expectations for their full-length album. “They may have 9 girls to put on a phenomenal dance performance, but I think the four of us have fresh new appeals and we plan on emphasizing all of them.”
Zinger joked, “They may be the juggernauts of K-pop, but we too have our petite appeals!”
But SECRET has already started off strong. The girls are receiving attention for their mature & seductive transformation for this new album after showcasing their innocent, bubbly charm with “Starlight Moonlight“.
The girls want to express themselves as iconic & chic, confident women of the new era. SECRET makes their comeback debut performance with “Love is Move“ on the October 20th edition of Mnet’s M! Countdown .
20 September:
The ladies of SECRET recently confirmed that they will be joining the girl group rush with a Korean comeback in October and it looks like there’s no let up as it was recently reported that the girls will release a mini album in Japan the following month.
Back in August, the girls officially debuted in Japan with “Madonna“ and now SECRET’s official Japanese website has reported that the girls will follow this up by releasing “Shy Boy” as a mini album on November 16th. The mini album is going to have 6 tracks, the official track list will be released at a later date.
Additionally, the website reported that SECRET will appear on the September 24th episode of “MJ presents K-POP SPECIAL” on NHK. The girls won’t be in the Music Japan recording studio and instead will be in Korea and appear on the show via satellite. In addition, they will share a small snippet of the Japanese “Shy Boy” music video.
Let’s see if the girls can build on the momentum from Madonna in Japan.

SECRET is on a roll with their Japanese promotions! Following their “Madonna” release, the girls have decided to go with “Shy Boy” as their second Japanese work.
SECRET have already completed filming their music video for “Shy Boy” on August 28th, and will finalize preparations for their release by September. Details on whether the release will be a single or a mini-album have yet to be revealed.
The girls shared that they hope to show a different charm to their strong, cosmopolitan look from “Madonna” by going for a sweeter, swings-style with “Shy Boy”.
Before their “Shy Boy” release in November, however, the girls will be releasing an official album in Korea.
11 August:
On August 3rd, SECRET made their official Japanese debut with “Madonna“, and like SNSD and KARAbefore them, they’ve already secured a strong spot on Japan’s Oricon weekly chart!
On August 10th, the chart updated with news that SECRET placed ninth with 13,124 singles sold! The girls are only a little off from eighth place, which was taken by Amuro Namie.
Also noted is the fact that SECRET is the third girl group to enter in the’ Top 10′ on the Oricon weekly chart, following just after SNSD and KARA. Oricon chart’s homepage spotlighted SECRET as the artist to look out for, and supported the girls by featuring an interview as well.
Speaking through TS Entertainment, the girls said, “We consider this as a successful start. We will work hard to make sure that we can achieve greater results in the future.”

Girl group SECRET are in Japan promoting their debut Japanese single, “Madonna“, and they recently performed on popular music program, ‘Coming Soon!!‘.
The MC introduced the girls and spotlighted them on his ‘Coming Review’ corner of the show. The girls then went on stage and delivered a dynamic performance.

Four member Korean idol group SECRET appeared at Theater G Rosso in Tokyo for a commemorative handshake event supporting their debut single “Madonna“.
Roughly 3,500 fans lined up for this event, which is also the first time the members of SECRET were able to meet their Japanese fans. Leader HyoSung commented, “We were waiting for this day for so long. I’m so happy we get to meet our fans up close.”
It appears SECRET is kicking their Japanese debut off on a good start!
