Super Junior at the 'Super Show 4' concert and press conference in Seoul(Photos courtesy of SM Entertainment and www.newsen.com)MANILA, Philippines – Popular Korean boy band Super Junior kicked off their world tour concert, dubbed "Super Show 4, " in Seoul, South Korea over the weekend.About 20,000 fans braved the freezing temperature to watch the concerts on Nov. 19 and 20 at the Seoul Olympic Stadium.Nine of the boy band members were present: leader Leeteuk, Kyuhyun, Siwon, Donghae, Eunhyuk, Ryeowook, Yesung, Shindong and Sungmin.Henry and Zoumi, members of Super Junior M, the boy band’s Mandarin subgroup, also performed at the concert.Absent were Heechul and Kangin, who are currently serving in the military. Member Kibum is concentrating on his acting career.The boy band performed 38 songs including their hits “Mr. Simple,” “Sorry Sorry,” “Bonamana,” and “Twins,” their debut single which was released in 2005.This is the fourth year that Super Junior held their concert tour and for this year, they are expanding their reach outside Asia.In the last three years, Super Junior held the tour in Asian countries.The Super Show 4 will be leader Leeteuk’s last concert tour before he enlists next year for his two-year mandatory military service.Last year, Kangin was the first Super Junior member to enter the military. Last September, Heechul followed suit.From Seoul, Super Junior will be touring different countries to hold the "Super Show 4." On Dec. 10 and 11, the boy band will hold concerts in Osaka, Japan.The concert will also be held in Taipei, Bangkok, Singapore, Beijing, the US, Europe and in other major cities in the world, according to Korean media.In the last two years, Super Junior included the Philippines in the Super Show tour. SM Entertainment has yet to announce whether Manila will be part of "Super Show 4."

Super Junior’s SS4 in Seoul has passed, and many fancams have been uploaded recently of all the wonderful performances. Two notable ones were of Super Junior M’s Zhou Mi and Henry (featuring f(x)’s Amber), who sang Kelly Clarkson’s “Because of You” and Justin Bieber’s “Baby“, respectively.Zhou Mi rose from below the stage and began a crescendo of “Because of You”. While he may have an accent, there’s no doubt that he has a beautiful voice; if only he had performed the entire song.During the first minute or so of his solo, Henry played a piano solo of “Baby” and demonstrated his amazing instrumental and vocal talents. Right before his duet with Amber, the fan camera pans over the audience, and shows the immense number of supportive fans.These fan cams make me wish I had been there! Hopefully SS4 will meet its expectations and come to my country.
Super Junior expressed their thrilling feelings for the world tour concert Super Show 4.Super Junior attended a press interview before their first Super Junior World Tour – Super Show 4 (Super Show 4 for the rest), which takes place in the Gymnastics Stadium in Olympic Park on November 20.To the question, “Is Heechul currently serving in the military going to come to the concert?” Super Junior’s leader Leeteuk answered, “You will find out if you watch the whole concert. Heechul wants to come and see the concert.”He added, “But he said he wouldn’t be able to come because he would be sad to see us getting cheered and performing since he cannot be with us. I called him and said we wanted him to spend the end of his 20s with us. I think I will know for sure after I talk to him on the phone later.”Super Show has been held three times in Asia since 2008 and attracted about 500,000 audiences to show Super Junior’s originality and color.Super Show 4 is the biggest scale in the Super Shows so far and proves Super Junior’s current status. Starting from Seoul on November 19 and 20, they are going to Asian countries, such as Osaka, Taipei, Bangkok, Singapore, and Beijing, Europe andNorth America.In the Seoul concert, they are going to perform the songs included in the fifth album such as “Mr. Simple,” hit songs such as “U,” “Sorry, Sorry,” and “Bonamana,” and individual performances of each member.Super Junior is holding the next Super Show 4 at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka on December 10 and 11.

To make those words come true, we will bring Korea a performance that has never been seen before.”When asked what the theme of the concert is, Leeteuk said, “The world is one“.Following that theme, Super Junior will be bringing their ‘Super Show 4′ all around the world.
