Soloist Tim is hitting an ‘all kill’ on Indonesian radio charts!
At the end of April, Tim collaborated with the popular Indonesian soloist Astrid for a remake of his 2003 hit track, “I Love You (Saranghapnida)”. The song is currently topping 10 major Indonesian radio charts.
“I Love You” is currently scheduled to be used as the theme song for the upcoming Korean-Indonesian collaboration drama, ‘Saranghae, I Love You…‘, which will begin airing in July through Indosiar, with Tim also starring as the leading male role.
Tim will be officially releasing an album containing his past hit tracks in Indonesia on May 29th and promote the album actively for the time being.
Netizens commented, “A good song never changes with time”, “I hope he does well in Indonesia!”, “Tim is the prince of Hallyu ballad”, and “I hope the drama does well too.”

Solo singer Tim is looking to join the ranks of Hallyu stars as an actor.
It has recently been revealed that Tim has been cast in a lead role for a Korean-Indonesian joint drama ‘Saranghae, I love you.’ The drama, which portrays the love story of a couple and falls under the romantic fantasy genre, is set in both South Korea and Indonesia and shows a love that blossoms between the two different cultures.
The drama, which was written, and will be produced by Indonesian director NOTO, will total 30 episodes. The drama will air this July on Indonesia’s biggest channel at 9 PM, and will be broadcast throughout all of Indonesia.
Tim will be playing the role of a top Korean singer named Young Min, and his co-star is said to be a popular Indonesian actress. The synopsis of the drama is that Young Min goes to Indonesia to clear up a misunderstanding his father has regarding Young Min’s mother, and the different events that happen while he is there.
According to a staff member of the drama, Tim is currently filming his scenes that take place in South Korea, and he is scheduled to fly over to Indonesia at the end of March to film his Indonesian scenes.
A representative from Tim’s agency revealed, “Tim is feeling a lot of weight on his shoulders because of his leading role in the first Korean-Indonesian joint drama, but because he has steadily practiced his acting skills through starring in musicals and such, we are looking forward to seeing his stable acting skills.” The representative continued, “It will first air in Indonesia, but it will also air in Malaysia. We hope that fans can support and encourage Tim not only as a singer, but in his endeavor to grow as an actor as well.”
Tim has been active not only as a singer, but also received recognition for his acting skills by performing in the musical ‘The Harmonium in My Memory‘ last year.

Romantic ballad singer Tim has released a Special Edition version of his hit song, “I Love You“.
The singer who instantly captivated fans with the song back in 2003 released a new edited acoustic version. The new track incorporates sounds of the cello and harmonica, and the song well expresses how much Tim has grown and developed as a musician in the past 10 years.
“I Love You” is his signature song, the ones fans still remember today and with the new release, Tim once again reminds fans that he is still very passionate about his music as he was when he first debuted as a rookie.

After a year away from the scene, Tim is back with a brand new album ‘…The Day is Long’.
The album contains 6 songs in total, including the title track and its instrumental version.
The title track, “The Day is Long”, features the sound of an acoustic piano and tells the story of a man who is unable to forget his past lover. Tim built on his craft while away, and brought a sorrowful tint in his conveyance of the desperation and longing in his lyrics.

On November 15th, his agency told Star News, “Tim was returning from his musical performance on the 13th when he got into a 3-car accident on the Gyeongbu High Way on his way to Seoul… At the time, Tim had been in the car that his manager was driving. The car behind hit their car, and as a result, their car crashed into the car in front of them.”
They continued, “After resolving the accident, Tim and his manager headed to a hospital in Seoul for a check up on the 14th… Tim did not suffer from any big injuries so he will be able to go on with his promotions, however his manager is suffering from head and back pains, and will have to stay at the hospital for 2 weeks.”
After losing 5kg (11 lbs) in preparation for his return to the music industry, Tim will be making his comeback with the release of his new album ‘…The Day is Long’ on November 17th. He will also be holding a concert on the 20th for the first time in 6 years.
