TVXQ has proven their unwavering popularity in Japan by ranking in at the top of Tower Records!
The duo ranked at first and second place with their upcoming limited DVD release and single, ‘Android‘, on the Tower Records pre-sales chart for May 27th.
Scheduled for release on July 25th, the blu-ray DVD features full length performances of the duo’s ‘TONE‘ tour, which took place between January and April to a crowd of 550,000 fans, along with their Tokyo Dome concert on April 15th.
The limited release also includes footage from their Saitama Super Arena concert on March 18th.
‘Android’, which is set for release on July 11th, will include two new tracks titled “Android” and “Blink“.

TVXQ once again proved their explosive popularity in Japan. The duo’s new single and DVD has impressively seized #1 on the pre-order charts..
On May 25th, the boys’ upcoming Japanese single ‘ANDROID‘ seized the #1 slot on major pre-order charts such as Tower Records, Amazon, Tsutaya, and more. TVXQ further drew interest by also managing to conquer the top three spots on Tower Records.
“Android” is the first dance song TVXQ will be releasing in Japan after “Superstar” which dropped about a year ago. The exciting sound of the new song is perfect for this summer season, and the first limited edition will be revealed in both a CD and DVD version.
The concert DVD is also boasting high sales numbers. The DVD contains footage from the boys’ large-scale Japanese concert that took place from January to April. The DVDs and the blu-rays along with the posters will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis, and fans are eager to get in line first. ‘ANDROID’ will be officially released in Japan on July 11th.
In related news, TVXQ also recently traveled to Mountain View, California to attended the ‘MBC Korean Music Wave in Google‘.

TVXQ‘s new Japanese single has sold over 100,000 copies within 2 days of it’s release.
On March 14th, TVXQ released their new Japanese single “Still“. The album sold 84,029 copies on the first day and sold an additional 25,183 copies the next, recording a total of 109,212 sales, causing them to climb to the top of Oricon’s daily chart.
Their new title song “Still” is a medium-tempoed ballad track, and fans will get to see a new side of the boys as they will be primarily focusing on powerful performances for their new promotions.
The single is already receiving a positive response as it was introduced for the first time at their Japanese tour which kicked off earlier this year. Additional track “One More Thing” is also a big hit with the fans, being selected as the theme song to Bee TV‘s drama ‘Let M The Reason I Love You, Other Stories‘.
In related news, the boys’ Japanese tour which thus far rallied a total of 550,000 fans is currently in full swing.

Group TVXQ is generously planning to show a free live broadcasting of their tour concert ‘Tone’, for the Japanese fans that were affected by the tsunami.
Japan Oricon stated, “TVXQ has decided to show a free live broadcasting of their tour, which opens on March 10th at the Sundome Fukui in the theatres of Miyagi, Fukushima, and Iwate.”
A representative from SM Entertainment also stated, “We hope TVXQ’s music will be able to help bring happiness and health to those who were affected by the tsunami.”
TVXQ’s fan club members, citizens, and students are all to be invited to this event.
In related news, TVXQ kicked off their tour on January 18th in Yokohama Arena gathering thousands of fans.

A heavy blizzard did not deter Japanese fans from seeing their favorite K-pop stars perform.
Popular idol group TVXQ continued their national Japan tour by performing at the Niigata Toki Messeon February 18th.
Heavy snow has been falling in the Niigata area since January, causing the airports to shut down and even taking the lives of 50 citizens.
Without fail, the snow came down hard on February 18th, the day of TVXQ’s performance. Despite the dangerous weather, 2,000 fans stood outside the venue since the early hours of the morning waiting for the performance to begin.
More fans arrived as the merchandise began selling at around 1:00PM, and all the goods sold out within an hour of going on sale, setting a new record.
By the time TVXQ wraps up their Japan tour around April, they will have put on 26 performances in 11 different cities including Hiroshima, Osaka, Saitama, Tokyo, and more.
TVXQ will have performed in front of an estimated number of 550,000 total fans by the time the tour comes to an end, making it the single greatest tour TVXQ has ever put on.

Due to spectacular demand, TVXQ have just added extra dates for their concerts at the Tokyo Domeand Osaka Kyocera Dome!
This isn’t the first time that the duo added an extra date for the ‘TVXQ Live Tour 2012 – TONE’. With competition at an all-time high to grab hold of a ticket, TVXQ decided to stay on a little longer in order to ensure that that fans were given an opportunity to catch them live in concert.
As a result, ‘TVXQ Live Tour 2012 – Tone’ will include a total of 26 concerts in 11 cities. The Tokyo Dome concerts will be held from April 14th through the 16th, while Osaka Kyocera Dome concerts will be held from April 21st through the 23rd.
With a total of 550,000 seats, this will be TVXQ’s largest concert series yet.

TVXQ‘s ‘Live Tour 2012~Tone~‘ has just added two new shows to their major tour in Japan!
Before the addition, the tour was scheduled to kick off at the Yokohama Arena on January 18th before proceeding to other cities like Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Osaka. However, there was so much buzz and excitement over the tour that TVXQ decided to add two more cities on the list.
The new concerts will be held at the Tokyo Dome and Kyocera Dome, bringing the total amount of shows to 24 in 11 different cities. A two-day concert will be shown in the Tokyo Dome on April 14th-15th, followed by the Kyocera Dome shows which will last for two days as well from April 21st-22nd.
This will be TVXQ’s biggest tour yet, as the seat capacity for both the Tokyo and Kyocera Domes are 50,000 and 45,000 respectively. The entire tour is expected to bring in approximately 450,000 fans.
TVXQ has been enjoying a stable and strong fanbase in Japan, as proven by their attendance in the huge year-end event, ‘Kohaku Uta Gassen‘, where their ‘Keep Your Head Down‘ performance was viewed by 42.6% of the entire Japanese population.
30 December:
After leading a busy and fruitful year traveling to countries all over the world, TVXQ will be going on vacation starting January 1st.
On December 30th, SM Entertainment revealed that TVXQ was awarded with a few days’ break ahead of their Japanese arena tour, which begins mid-January.
TVXQ has been constantly traveling back and forth between Korea and Japan all month. On the 29th, they were awarded the ‘Special Award’ at the ‘2011 MBC Entertainment Award‘ before performing as the ending stage at the ‘2011 SBS Gayo Daejun‘. On the 30th, they’ll be heading over to Japan for theTBS ‘Japan Record Awards‘, while on the 31st, they have a pre-recording with the ‘2011 MBC Gayo Daejaejun‘ in addition to NHK’s ‘Kohaku Uta Gassen‘.
As soon as they complete their Japanese schedules, they’ll be returning to Korea and enjoy their few days of break starting with the New Year.
Their Japanese arena tour will go through nine cities, including Tokyo.

It’s been eight long years since the ‘Gods of the East’ made their official debut, and today, Yunho andChangmin of TVXQ thanked their fans for their enormously successful career.
In a video posted to SM Entertainment‘s YouTube channel, U-Know and Max greeted Cassiopeians worldwide and showed their gratitude for supporting them through nearly a decade of music. “Hello everyone, did you all have a good Christmas?” Yunho started. “The day right after Christmas, even though it’s a little embarrassing to say so ourselves, is our eighth anniversary,” he said.
“Thank you to all the fans who showed us unending love and interest for eight years,” Changmin added.
“In the future, we will also work even harder,” the duo promised. “We hope that you will grace us with even more interest.”

On December 23rd, Yunho and Changmin of TVXQ posted a holiday greeting video to fans throughSMTOWN‘s official Youtube page.
Yunho starts off exclaiming, “It’s finally December 25th… It’s Christmas!” and then continued, “We hope that you spend a joyous Christmas with your loved ones.”
Changmin added, “Yes, I hope you share a warm time. And after Christmas, doesn’t the new year come afterwards? With 2012 on the way, (Yunho) please send a message.”
Yunho then stated, “Since a New Year is approaching, forget all the negatives, and I hope that you spend another year with lots of joy. Just as this year is the year of the dragon, which is Changmin’s zodiac sign, we hope you will be rewarded like the dragon. We, as TVXQ, will also hope to be rewarded like the dragon by continuing to work hard, so we ask for your continued interest.”

The boys of TVXQ who are touring the Asian continent in order to meet with their many fans have recently made a stop in Singapore after wrapping up a ‘fan party’ in Beijing.
TVXQ held their ‘TVXQ Asia Fan Party 2011‘ at the Indoor Stadium in Singapore on December 4th, which was met with an explosive response.
This was the first time TVXQ was in Singapore, and a large crowd of fans took over the Singapore airport to catch a glimpse of the boys arrival on December 3rd.
TVXQ also earned the high interest of the Singapore media with whom they conducted a few interviews before their show actually took place.
The boys put on a passionate performance of “MAXIMUM‘, ‘RISING SUN‘, and ‘Know Just This‘, as well as participating in a Singapore-related quiz, Q&A session, current events discussion, and even took the time to view various personal video messages from their fans.
In related news, the boys will head to Shanghai, China to hold a fan party on December 9th.

With TVXQ releasing their latest Japanese single “Winter Rose“ for the hoidays, Avex has unveiled the classy photoset featured in the booklet!
Dressed in black suits and ties, Yunho and Changmin lounge together in the backseat of a car. With muted colors and a vintage feel, the duo perfectly exudes a classy yet sexy vibe.
The single, titled “Winter”, will be released on November 30th in Japan, with “Winter Rose” and a Christmas version of “Duet”.
