On this week’s broadcast of SBS’s ‘Inkigayo‘, Super Junior was crowned with their second consecutive Mutizen award for their latest hit, “Mr. Simple”.This week’s win was a lot more meaningful for both the group and their fans, as it was the last stage (and award) for member Kim Heechul before he begins his mandatory military service on September 1st.It seems that out of all the Super Junior members, leader Leeteuk was hit hardest by his emotions. Overwhelmed, Leeteuk’s tears flowed down uncontrollably as he gave his thank you speech and hugged Heechul tightly in his arms.Leeteuk expressed, “Thank you to everyone who has given us love. Heechul hyung is also leaving for the army soon, so thank you for giving us such a special gift.”Heechul added, “This was my last stage before the army. I feel great to have been given such a special award before my leave. I’m always thankful to Jungsoo (Leeteuk) as well as the other members. For the fans who have loved us, I love you too. Thank you to all the staff of ‘Inkigayo’ who gave us so much of their time, and I’m especially thankful to all the managers who put up with my bad temper. Super Junior came back elegantly to the stage as the King of Idols while capturing fans’ both visually and aurally. On 6th August, during MBC “Music Core”, Super Junior performed the title song in their 5th album, “Mr Simple”, as well as “Superman”.On that day, even though Super Junior had only performed a “SJ Knight” genre dance and elegant pop-dance, they were still able to increase the visual effects drastically.Especially when the members’ had a change in their style and concept as compared to before in addition to their attractive pop-dance stage. The lyrics describes about how everything can be given up easily in this world, but their dance cannot be described to be simple. Super Junior’s new song “Mr Simple” describes about the reality on people’s hearts that are unable to gain achievements and lose their dreams calmly on this chaotic world, a song which was expressed in a relaxed manner with humourous and metaphorical lyrics. Super Junior’s special dance and pop-dance is also another focus in the new song.Additionally, on that day, Super Junior, Miss A, After School Blue, ZE:A, etc will be performing.

Super Junior makes their return with “Superman” and “Mr. Simple” on Music Core!
Super Junior has created an explosive reaction with their return to the scene this week with their 5th album, “Mr. Simple,” selling out in stores throughout Korea. Even before releasing their full music video for their title song of the same name, their teaser video won the YouTube triple crown, earning them the title of “Most Viewed Videos,” “Top Favorited,” and “Most Discussed Video”. They also managed to take the top spot on various music charts. The full music video was released on August 4th, following their press conference, and in just 2 days, it has already received more than 2.6 million views.
Unfortunately, members Leeteuk and Heechul are expected to begin their military service soon, so this will be the last album for the boys in a while. Because of this, it was announced that Super Junior would be planning a world tour. Leeteuk has also stated that since this might be the last album, they would try to promote the album for as long as possible.After making their comeback on Music Bank last night, Super Junior returned to Music Core tonight with “Superman” and their title song, “Mr. Simple”. Their title song, “Mr. Simple,” is an energetic and upbeat song, with a powerful and unique stage designed to allow the boys to “capture world fans eyes and ears.” At the press conference, it was explained that “the lyric describes the reality where modern people living in a complicated world failing to achieve what they intended to and losing their love and dreams without the breadth of mind in a simple way with humorous and metaphorical words, meaning ‘There is no need to take everything very serious. Simple and easy way can rather be a better choice for finding oneself’ like the title, "Mr. Simple."
