The recording of ‘1 Night 2 Days‘ has been cancelled for this week.
KBS2′s ’1 Night 2 Days’ was scheduled to be filmed on April 6th and 7th, but has been abandoned due to labor union strikes that have been taking place at KBS.
Recently ’1N2D’ Choi Jae Hyung PD, ‘Qualification of Men‘ Cho Sung Sook PD, ‘Gag Concert‘Suh Soo Min PD, ‘Win Win‘ Park Ji Young PD and others have joined in the new labor union strikes at KBS, so it seems most of the variety shows for KBS will not begin recording for the time being.
A source within KBS stated, “Currently ’1N2D’ will air what has already been filmed and hopefully the next broadcast will go according to plan.”
On April 1st the third episode filmed at Chungsun was shown. The Chungsun episode was broadcast the previous two weeks, and this third episode focused on scenes that were previously not shown, and left viewers wondering if this had been due to the strike. However, a staff member at KBS revealed, “The Chungsun trip was already planned to air in three different episodes,” but many still feel that it was due to the labor union strikes.
Choi Jae Hyung PD who is currently leading the new season of ’1N2D’ has been involved with the labor union strikes, and on April 4th at 2pm KST, the different PD’s from KBS’s varieties shows entered a new labor union strike, and will hold an emergency press conference to explain their decision.
Let’s hope for a speedy resolution so that the situation does not end up like MBC!

Singer Kim Jong Min was a bit disappointed by miss A Suzy‘s personal taste when it comes to the members of ’1N2D’.
On the March 25th broadcast of KBS2‘s ‘1Night 2Days Season 2‘, the second part of the Kangwon-do expedition was aired. Comedian Lee Soo Geun stated, “I should call Suzy. I’m her absolute ideal type,” causing envy in the other members.
Suzy didn’t answer the first call, however, causing Lee Soo Geun to stare at his phone and ask, “Suzy, are you unable to answer the phone right now?”
When he redialed her number, Suzy answered and was asked a few hilarious questions. She was asked who she liked the most out of the seven members, and Suzy confessed that she most liked actorCha Tae Hyun. Suzy was also asked, “Which person is a definite no?”, to which she replied, “Jong Min,” drawing much laughter from the members.
Disappointed, Kim Jong Min responded, “Not even Jong Min oppa, how can you just say Jong Min?” Suzy quickly explained her reasoning, stating, “Because he doesn’t speak well, I don’t think we would have very good conversations.”

On the March 11th broadcast of KBS‘s ’1 Night 2 Days’ Season 2, the second half of the season opening episode was revealed. As the staff and members discussed their feelings in regards to their first filming day, Cha Tae Hyun made everyone on set burst out into laughter by saying, “This is crazy. I am going to Running Man“.
He added, “If it is okay with all of you, call me back just for the ‘Best Friends’ special episodes“.
New member Joo Won shared his own feelings by saying, “I don’t have the confidence to be funny so I will just try my best. As the youngest member, I will try hard“.
Singer and fellow new member Sung Si Kyung also revealed his thoughts by saying, “I wanted to try my best and be funny at the same time but I think I only ended up trying hard without being funny“.
Viewers and fans can look forward to the new season as the members slowly begin to bring out their unique charms.

Season 2 of the popular TV show KBS‘ ‘1 Night 2 Days‘ has been ranked number one after kicking off the first episode with a high viewer rating of 27.3%.
The new season began with a positive outlook, receiving higher ratings than SBS‘ ‘Running Man‘ and ‘Survival Audition: K-Pop Star‘, which have similar air times as ’1N2D’. ‘Running Man’ and ‘K-Pop Star’ received ratings of 20.2% and 18.7% respectively.
The new season kicked off with old members Lee Soo Geun, Kim Jong Min, Uhm Tae Woong and new members Kim Seung Woo, Cha Tae Yeon, Joo Won, and Seung Si Kyung.

Season 2, comprised of Lee Soo Geun, Kim Jong Min, Uhm Tae Woong, Kim Seung Woo, Cha Tae Hyun, Joo Won, and Sung Si Kyung, have begun filming its first episode in the early morning of February 24th. Although this is only the recording of the first episode, viewers have shown an enormous amount of interest in the filming location.
A representative of one of the new fixed members of the show stated, “He’s very nervous since this is the first recording for the new season. You can say that the filming location is comparable to 007 because even we weren’t notified of the location until it began.”
In addition, it has been revealed that all seven members have gathered a few days prior to the filming in order to get to know each other.
Meanwhile, the filming for ’1N2D’ will take place on the 24th and 25th and is scheduled to air sometime next month.

On February 19th, KBS’s ‘1 Night 2 Days‘ revealed part 1 of their last episode of the season. During a surprise event, the members were able to look back at 5 years of memories and could not suppress their flow of tears.
Given a mission to enter a movie theater without being noticed, the members quickly sat in their seats and hoped no one would call their name. As the movie ‘Dancing Queen‘ started to play, there were a few instances where fellow moviegoers made eye contact and even spoke to the members. Fearing they would fail their mission, the members made ‘shh’ signs and continued to watch the movie.
All of a sudden ‘Dancing Queen’ stopped playing and the lights went out. The movie screen turned back on and began playing clips from the past 5 years of ’1 Night 2 Days’. Turns out the entire mission and surprise event was planned since the morning. Fellow movie goers in the theater were fans from all of Korea, as well as Japan, that were selected to be part of their last filming.
Fans, staff, and guests watched silently as memories such as Eun Ji Won once being afraid of water, their beloved dog Sang Geun, Canari (aka the dreaded sand lance fish juice), the harsh Mt. Baekdusan trip, Kim C, MC Mong, Kang Ho Dong and much much more flashed across the screen.
At the end, fans and staff sang “Now Goodbye” and all were filled with tears. Even Na PD, who thanked the members, choked on his words and could not suppress his tears.
Afterwards all five members came to the front of the theater and expressed their thoughts. Lee Soo Geun replied, “I have so many memories from the past 5 years. A nobody, a not so popular comedian like me, met ’1N2D’, got married, and even had a child. I received so much love and popularity…members who will leave and members who stay will continue to root for each other“.
Lee Seung Gi continued, “For a long time I met the members once a week..I don’t think I’ve ever thought that 1N2D was a real filming. It was so much fun, and there was so much laughter..it still hasn’t hit me yet that it’s our last filming“.
Eun Ji Won replied, “Thank you for loving such a silly person like me. The childlike Jiwon feels like he’s graduating from elementary school..later I hope to show a more mature side to myself“.
Kim Jong Min added, “I fall short a lot..when I came back (to 1N2D) I was so thankful..I was in a big slump for 2 years..I wanted to do well. I want to really say I’m sorry and thank you“.
Uhm Tae Woong concluded, “Last night I wondered, the other members have so many memories so what am I going to do if I’m not sad today, but it’s so sad. We began to care a lot about each other..1 year went by so fast. It’s hard to film something for 1 year.. so we developed lots of love for each other“.
With these words the members dried their tears and drove off to spend their last night together. Preview for next weeks episode will be filled with more tears, so be sure to get your handkerchief ready and say goodbye to a beloved show that brought lots of laughter to many.

According to an insider, the new season will be similar to the first, in which the cast members will still embark on road trips. Like the format, the cast lineup won’t be seeing too many changes.
A KBS insider informed Star News on January 27th that “Original members Lee Soo Geun, Uhm Tae Woong, and Kim Jong Min have plans to stay on, while MC Kim Seung Woo, singer Sung Si Kyung, and actor Joo Won will be joining the lineup. Whether or not any additional recruits will be added is still being considered.”
By keeping some of the old members and adding new ones, the staff of ’1N2D’ are trying to kill two birds with one stone. They want the stability of the old show, while offering a fresh spin with the new season. But this could be a gamble, as viewers have been loyal to ’1N2D’ for five years, and they may not like any changes to the program.
There’s a valuable lesson to be learned from SBS‘s ‘Family Outing‘, which came to an end in 2010 after boasting some of the highest TV ratings. The second season featured some of today’s hottest stars, such as 2AM‘s Jo Kwon, Girls‘ Generation member YoonA, 2PM‘s Taecyeon, and Super Junior‘s Kim Heechul; however, it just didn’t seem to catch on with the general public.
This failing is mostly due to the combination of a familiar concept with new faces. Variety programs are all about the different personalities on the show, and so even when the program and the activities on the show are the same, viewers enjoy watching the cast sharpen their wit on national television.
Once those cast members get switched out, however, there’s a danger of fans leaving with them because they aren’t able to connect with the new members.
’1N2D’s decision to retain Lee Soo Geun, Uhm Tae Woong, and Kim Jong Min gives the program some stability to start. The insider remarked, “‘1N2D’ was a popular program, but the second season will not be the same. We are preparing to show you a much more advanced and developed ’1N2D’ than the previous program.”
The new cast members are also heightening the expectations of the viewers. Kim Seung Woo is currently serving as an MC on ‘Win Win‘, and he’s developed a strong following with his sharp wit. Sung Si Kyung has also showcased his variety show skills on previous episodes of ’1N2D’, and is expected to make a very natural transition on the program.
Actor Joo Won who has taken up roles in ‘Baker King Kim Tak Goo‘ and ‘Ojakgyo Brothers‘ will also be showcasing his easygoing personality on the show.
24 January:
The most recent ’1N2D’ shoot took place on January 13th, which also happened to Seung Gi’s 26th birthday, and his fellow co-stars sang him Happy Birthday as soon as the shoot began.
The singer remarked, “Today is my 26th birthday. I don’t know how this happened, but I am in my late twenties now.” Eun Ji Won along with the rest of the ’1N2D’ cast could not believe the ’1N2D’ maknaewas already 26, and remarked that they remember when he first came on the program.
Seung Gi realized that he had spent half of his twenties with the program, and Eun Ji Won jokingly stated that he wasted that time with the show, which caused the entire set to explode in laughter.
The staff members put together a little clip of Seung Gi throughout the years on the program. Seung Gi added, “It’s my birthday, how can you make us meet at 4AM on a day like this“, but looked happy to celebrate his birthday with his ’1N2D family.
Meanwhile, the cast members took off on a new journey in search for the best winter food in Korea.

On this episode, Lee Dong Gook and Lee Keun Ho, both members of the national South Korean soccer team, became opposing captains of a Korean game called Jok Goo: a game in which you can only use your feet to kick a football over a net like sepak takraw.
After an intense match, Lee Dong Gook’s team emerged victorious.
Netizens responded to this game by saying, “This game was really nervewrecking“, “My palms were sweaty the whole time“, and “They should do something like this again“.

On KBS‘s ‘1 Night 2 Days‘ that aired on January 15th, They showed the official height and weight of the cast members. However they made a mistake with Lee Seung Gi‘s profile and confused the viewers.
17 January:
On this episode, National Soccer Players Lee Dong Gook and Lee Keun Ho became the captains of a Korean game called Jok Goo. A game similar to volleyball but instead of using hands you can only use your feet.
Eun Ji Won, Uhm Tae Woong, Lee Sun Gyun, Jang Woo Hyuk, and Kim Jong Min were on Lee Dong Wook’s team. Lee Suh Jin, Lee Seung Gi, and Lee Soo Geun were on Lee Geun Ho’s team. During the scene where the profiles of both teams were shown, it said that Lee Seung Gi was the same height as Lee Geun Ho and Jang Woo Hyuk and 2 cm shorter than Lee Suh Jin.
However if you look up his official profile, it says that his height is 182cm (5’11”) and his weight is 70kgs (154lbs). Just watching the three of them together, you can tell that Lee Seung Gi is taller than the other two.
Netizens responded to this mistake by saying, “If Lee Seung Gi is 176cm then how tall are the rest of them?” and “Jang Woo Hyuk is 176cm… Then does that make them the same height?“.
Meanwhile, Lee Dong Gook’s team won the Jok Goo game 15 to 13.
