The June 5th broadcast of KBS‘ ‘Win Win‘ is a continuation of last week’s special episode featuring “Asia’s star”, BoA.
During filming, BoA spoke up about her special relationship with SM Entertainment founder and chairman, Lee Soo Man, who recruited her into the company and has been with her through her ups and downs.
BoA began by saying, “Ever since the agency was first founded, CEO Lee Soo Man and I have been through so much together, and we’ve also been through a lot when I made my debut in the international market. So, his affection towards me is out of the ordinary. I’m Lee Soo Man’s #1.”
She continued, “I call him Teacher Lee Soo Man in public, but when it’s just the two of us, I call him ‘Ssem’ (short for ‘teacher’) or ‘Soo Man Ajji’ (ajji is short for ‘ahjussi’). Kangta oppa and I are the only ones in the agency who can call him those things.”

Singer BoA admitted to having a high tolerance for alcohol.
On the June 5th broadcast of KBS2‘s ‘Win Win‘, singer BoA surprised the MCs by confessing she previously drank up to 5 bottles of soju.
“I realized then that you shouldn’t drink like that,” she remarked.
The singer also revealed the handful of friends she often drinks with. “My drinking buddies includeTVXQ‘s Yunho, Kim Sun Ah, and Leessang‘s Gil,” she said. “In Japan, I frequent izakaya locations alone.”

Actress Lee Yeon Hee made a surprise appearance on the June 5th broadcast of KBS‘s ‘Win Win‘ along with labelmates TVXQ‘s Yunho and Go Ara for the special episode on BoA.
Upon Lee Yeon Hee’s surprise entrance on the talk show, Lee Ki Kwang was unable to hide his smile as he shouted with joy. This prompted fellow host member Kim Seung Woo to question the singer, “If you have something you want to say to Lee Yeon Hee, go ahead.”
To this, Lee Ki Kwang confessed his love for her by saying, “There’s no need for words. You’re very beautiful.” He then gave her a thumbs up and said, “You’re the best.”

Singer BoA shared her thoughts on her life as a musician.
On the June 5th broadcast of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Win Win‘, BoA was asked if she would walk the same path if she could go back in time.
“I don’t think I would,” she answered. “[Being an artist] is extremely hard, and I think it would be better to experience a normal life.”
She also opened up about what it was like to be called the ‘Star of Asia’. “Thinking about falling from the summit is a bit burdensome,” she said. “It’s also my duty as a senior to give up my seat at the summit to my junior artists.”

Labelmates and best friends, TVXQ‘s Yunho, Lee Yeon Hee, and Go Ara dished on some of BoA‘s drinking habits on the June 5th episode of KBS‘s ‘Win Win‘.
The three appeared as surprise guests on the show and came armed with secrets regarding BoA’s drinking habits. Yunho revealed, “She has a certain way she acts when she gets drunk. First, she gets cute. She’ll give you half moon eyes and laugh in the particular way that she does. She’ll even hit the person next to her. She has a lot of aegyo.”
When asked how clearly she speaks when drunk, Lee Yeon Hee replied, “She doesn’t mispronounce or slur her speech, but she will start talking like a baby.”
Right on the spot, BoA demonstrated for viewers by saying in an aegyo tone, “I want to drink~ more~.”
Go Ara also revealed, “When I was filming the movie ‘Papa‘, I had a lot of English lines so I asked BoA unni for advice and met up with her. She just start speaking in English with me nonstop so I thought to myself that she was doing it so I could get used to it fast. I later realized that she has a tendency to speak in English when drunk.”
Lee Yeon Hee added with a laugh, “She does that because at least you can understand her, but she knows I can’t so she doesn’t even try.”

As a guest on the upcoming episode of ‘Win Win‘, BoA will be revealing the stories behind her success as a Hallyu star as well as her hopes and dreams.
One story she revealed was about her school days and her life as a student. She immediately received much attention from the MCs and the audience as she revealed, “I entered middle school as the top ranked student in the class.” However, despite her achievement as a student, she was unable to continue with her schooling.
“As I started my promotions in Japan during my school days, I was unable to attend school often, and thus I ended up quitting school. I obtained my high school diploma by taking the G.E.D (General Education Development) test,” she stated.
She revealed her honest thoughts and her desire to attend school as a normal student as she continued, “I thought about going into college, but I realized with my singing career, I could only be a phantom student. I didn’t want to attend school just for show.”
“I can’t have everything. Instead of school, I have gained life experiences by promoting as a dance-singer. I’m thankful that I’m able to receive love from people doing the things I love,” she concluded, touching the hearts of the MCs of the show.

BoA’s abilities as a performer have always been one of her renowned qualities. Singer BoA revealed the hierarchy system within SM Entertainment.
On the May 29th episode of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Win Win‘, BoA talked about how she was selected to be a judge representing SM on SBS ‘K-Pop Star‘.
“One day during a company dinner, Chairman Lee Soo Man remarked that it would be nice if I were to be the SM judge on ‘K-Pop Star’,” she said. “At first, I was dumbfounded.”
“Within SM, I rank third after Yoo Young Jin (songwriter / producer), and Kang Ta,” she continued, admitting that the idea of representing SM was “a little intimidating.”
“Aesthetically speaking, he thought it would be better for me to join the judging panel, instead of Kang Ta who is a male,” she said with a smile.
When asked why the Chairman himself did not join the panel, she answered, “I think the long filming hours would have been hard for him at his age,” letting out a laugh.
“To be honest, I’m not sure why. He said he would think about it, but he became busy with something else in the meantime,” BoA explained.

Singer BoA captured the viewers’ attention after revealing her beliefs on the reason for her short stature.
On the May 29th broadcast of KBS2‘s ‘Win Win‘, MC Tak Jae Hoon asked the singer if she had ever been reprimanded as a trainee.
“They told me to lose weight a lot,” she said. “It wasn’t fat; it was baby fat. When you’re in junior high, you’re supposed to eat a lot and grow, so it’s only natural that I didn’t grow because they told me to lose weight.”

Singer BoA revealed the reason behind her tears on SBS ‘K-pop Star‘ on a recent episode of KBS 2TV ‘Win Win‘.
She started off saying, “I don’t have tears usually… But Park Ji Min, one of the contestant, started whimpering from the beginning and I felt like I could very well understand how scary it was being on stage.”
She continued, “I have stage fright so I know how saddening that situation can be.. I was crying like crazy during a live show,” revealing that her tears were due to her own personal experiences from the past.

Kangta and Leessang member Gil appeared as surprise guests for Baek Ji Young‘s episode of KBS 2‘s ‘Win Win‘ on May 22.
The boys put Baek Ji Young on blast by revealing her “sticky fingers” habit that surfaces when she is under the influence of alcohol.
Gil began by sharing that when he and Baek Ji Young once visited Kangta’s home, Kangta agreed that either one of them could take his high-quality speakers if they could reach a decision as to who would keep them. Gil lost the argument, and the speakers went to Baek Ji Young.
Hilariously, Baek Ji Young started to look a bit uncomfortable, but Gil did not stop there. He caused the crowd to roar with laughter after revealing that Baek Ji Young also once took the soap he was using at home along with the soap dish.
Embarrassed, the ballad queen then tried to come to her own defense saying, “I don’t think I have sticky fingers. I like to think of it as a gift.“ She evoked laughter by adding, “I only did it because I really liked the scent of the soap.”

Singer Baek Ji Young revealed that she once gave her junior artists a large amount of money on New Year’s.
On the May 22nd episode of KBS‘s ‘Win Win‘, Baek Ji Young revealed that B1A4 and TEEN TOPtraditionally bowed to her for New Year’s, as children often do to wish their elders a blessed New Year. In return, the elders usually give children some allowance money.
Baek Ji Young revealed, “I gave them around $1,700,” shocking the emcees.
MC Kikwang then displayed his quick wit by adding, “B2ST needs to come see you too,” causing Baek Ji Young to respond, “I won’t give any to B2ST,” continuing the laughs on set.

Baek Ji Young became very emotional discussing MC Mong, who is in court under the suspicion of voluntarily evading mandatory military service.
On the May 22nd broadcast of KBS2‘s ‘Win Win‘, the singer remarked, “There is someone who is hurting just as much as I did in the past, and it is none other than MC Mong,” shedding a few tears.
“I don’t want to talk about his mistakes. He is simply my dongseng,” she said. “No matter what he did wrong, I want to embrace my Mong just as any family member would.”
“Mong is afraid to even meet people. I feel so bad that all I have to say to him is that he just needs some time. I know his pain better than anyone else,” she continued, wiping away more tears.
“I call him everyday and I tell him that even a woman like me has overcome it all,” she added. “I hope that he will carry through with that in mind.”

Singer HaHa told the touching story behind his first album on the April 10th episode of KBS2‘s ‘Win Win‘.
HaHa’s mother Kim Ok Jung appeared as a special guest during the star’s interview. HaHa stated, “I entered a management agency because of my dream to become a singer, and the CEO said, ‘There’s not enough money right now so I’ll pay you back later,’ and asked to borrow money. My mother loaned him the money.”
However, things did not go as planned. He continued, “In the end, the money was swindled from us, and my mother paid for my album because it was my dream. In 1995, my debut album was released through the OJ Project (Ok Jung Project).” He also mentioned that he was in severe slump a year and a half after his debut.
A photo of HaHa’s debut album was shown on the program, and people were immediately drawn to the message on the jacket, which said: “There’s a shocking charm in Ha Dong Hun’s music that rings deep within your heart and soul.”
When asked who wrote the jacket message, HaHa simply replied, “My older sister wrote it,” making the studio audience laugh.

Actress Ha Ji Won recalled having an intense kiss scene with Jo In Sung that ended unexpectedly.
Ha Ji Won appeared on the April 3rd episode of KBS2′s ‘Win Win‘ and was asked about the most difficult kiss scene she’s had, “The hardest was when I had a kiss scene with Jo In Sung for the drama ‘What Happened in Bali.’”
She continued, “It was a scene where Jo In Sung was forcing himself on me and I was trying to get away. It was supposed to be a soft but strong kiss, but he bumped into me so hard that he almost broke my tooth. I also cut my lips.”
She also mentioned a kiss scene with Lee Seung Gi, who she is currently co-starring with in the MBCdrama, ‘The King 2 Hearts.‘ She said, “Lee Seung Gi misread the script. The script said to kiss Hang Ah (Ha Ji won’s character name) who is lying down, but he came and lay down behind me. Eventually the director told him to get out,” which caused everyone to laugh.
Kim Seung Woo, who had a kiss scene with Ha Ji Won in the movie ‘Reversal of Fortune‘ mentioned that, “Ha Ji Won is a good kisser.” This seemed to embarrass Ha Ji Won because she lowered her head and became bright red.

Shinhwa attended the recording of the episode of KBS‘s ‘Win Win‘ set to air on the 13th, and shared their thoughts about their upcoming comeback, as well as various events in the past. This was the first time all the members gathered together for a talk show in 14 years since their debut.
Fans who have been following the group for a long time might remember the nude photoshoot that caused quite a buzz. Eric shared, “We were the first idols to try a nude photoshoot.”
Kim Dong Wan added, “During the promotion of our third album, our concept was taking off clothes. Seeing the concept, Lee Soo Man suggested a nude photoshoot, and the members contemplated for a while before finally agreeing to do it, but Hye Sung opposed the idea until the end.”
Eric made the audience erupt in laughter when he continued,”At the photoshoot, there were only male staff members, so Jun Jin and I roamed around freely without any clothes on. But Hye Sung kept disappearing in between the shoots so we’d go look for him, and we’d always find him hiding himself behind a tree.”

Celebrating their 14th anniversary, the longest-running male idol group Shinhwa will be guest-featuring on the upcoming episode of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Win Win‘.
Although the members have individually guested on numerous variety shows before, this will mark the first time that they will appear on a talk show as a whole group since their hiatus.
The members will be sharing various stories that occurred during their four year hiatus, including their ups and downs while being together for 14 years and their individual hardships throughout the years.
In addition, a few unknown acquaintances of Shinhwa, who claim to know all of Shinhwa’s past, will be making a surprise special appearance on the show and will be revealing all of Shinhwa’s hidden stories.

Idol group B2ST recently participated in the February 21st episode of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Win Win‘ and the boys were accompanied by their fathers.
As previously reported, all 6 of the members’ fathers showcased their hidden dance moves by performing B2ST’s hit song “Fiction“!

The members of idol group B2ST guest-featured on the February 21st episode of ‘Win Win‘ and talked about how each of the members were with different labels prior to their debut as ‘B2ST’.
Member Jang Hyunseung opened up about his days training under YG Entertainment to debut withBig Bang, which grabbed high attention from his fans.
“I auditioned to become a member of Big Bang, and even became a finalist,” he said. “In the end, it came down to me and Seungri but I got cut.”
When asked if he grew envious of Big Bang once they became successful, he answered, “I was envious after they became successful. If I did better, I think we could have even been a six-member group.”
“But I did not want to force myself in between the members who were exceptionally talented,” he honestly said.
“How did Big Bang react when you received unending love and support with 4minute‘s HyunA as‘Troublemaker‘?”, the MCs asked again, and Hyunseung who still keeps in contact with the Big Bang members remarked, “As soon as I called them, they began humming the melody to our song.”

B2ST‘s Yong Junhyung and Yang Yoseob revealed that they were almost cut from the group.
On the February 21st episode of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Win Win‘, the members admitted, “While we were preparing for our debut, Yoseob and Junhyung hyung were nearly kicked out of the group.”
“Before our debut, B2ST’s concept was to be fierce and masculine,” Yoseob began. “But I was thin and on the shorter side, so my image didn’t really fit in with the image the company was preparing. While I was rehearsing, I received notice that I would have to quit the group.”
“Before I left, I decided to film a video of all of us just comfortably goofing around,” he continued. “Senior Rain happened to see this video and said, ‘This kid plays well. Why are you cutting him? Don’t drop him’, and recognized my potential. I earned a second chance after that, thanks to him,” reminiscing and revealing his grateful heart towards Rain.
Yong Junhyung also shared, “I knew that I would be cut a week before I heard the news, by chance I happened to see the notes of a staff member, and it was written that I would be dropped.” He went on to state that he was able to join the group later thanks to the other members.

Comedian Lee Soo Geun shed some emotional tears after opening up about his mother.
On a recent episode of KBS2‘s ‘Win Win‘, Lee Soo Geun discussed his childhood without his mother.
He began, “When I was young, my mother suddenly became ill. The hospital could not find what was wrong with her, but in the end, it turned out to be an illness that signified her fate to become a shaman” (in various Asian cultures, there are reports of individuals who become sick for no apparent reason and are unable to find a medical explanation nor a cure, and the only way to get rid of the illness is to accept their fate to become a shaman).
“She was forced to become a shaman, and left our family. I was embarrassed that she was a shaman and I would report her occupation as ‘business woman’ on school documents,” he continued.
“And more than her being a shaman, I was more embarrassed to open my lunch box that my father packed for me. I didn’t eat it at school; my brother and I ate it after school was over,” he said with tears in his eyes.
He revealed that there was a time he missed his mother so much, he traveled over 9 hours to see her when he was in elementary school.

Tiger JK and Yoon Mirae recently shared their love story.
At a recent KBS 2TV ‘Win Win‘ recording, Tiger JK admitted that he and Yoon Mirae lived in the same house before getting married.
“There were times where I made $130 after working a single day, but spent most of it on cab fare trying to get to Mirae’s house. I didn’t know how to get to her house in Uijeongbu, so I got lost trying to find it in the cab. The cab fare that would normally be less than twenty dollars would end up being over $80,” Tiger JK said.
“But I would get all the way to Uijeongbu and I would only be able to call her from a pay phone,” he continued. “Her mother was so strict that it was hard for her to come out at night to see me. I even tried to sneak into her house through the doggy door but it was too small,” he revealed as the set exploded into laughter.
“When I was going through difficult times, he was there by my side and helped me a lot. My mom who had saw that took a liking to him. She knew that he was having a hard time living alone, so she permitted him to come live with us and the three of us lived together,” Yoon Mirae added.
